“Gorgeous place, expanded with lots of upscale furniture. Pricy-- yes. Classy-- yes. They will pick up your old furniture for a fee on delivery. It does take forever-- like 8 weeks -- to get your sofa.”
“This place caught me off guard- in a good way. Strange Ways is tucked in behind the courthouses in New Haven, and I never would’ve expected a store with this much personality to be hiding there. I was drawn in by the bright colors and the wordplay, and once inside it kept getting better.
The whole vibe feels like reconnecting with your childhood self- playful, bold, colorful, and a little weird in a way that works. If you love clever phrases, visual humor, and design that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this store is full of it. It’s also a fantastic spot for gifts, especially for those people who are impossible to shop for because they “already have everything.”
They have a great assortment of patches, pins, stationery, and small gift items, and I appreciated that nothing felt generic or mass-produced. I ended up buying myself a sweater and a beanie (because obviously), and both were great quality. Pricing felt very fair... exactly what you’d expect when supporting a small, local business, without feeling overpriced.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. And surprisingly, parking wasn’t bad at all. I parked right on the street, fed the meter with some quarters, and had no issues.
This is one of those shops that makes you happy you wandered off the main path a bit. I’ll definitely be back.”

“Adorable little shop with home goods and a handful of souvenirs if you were here to look at the Thimble Islands. Today the shop was manned by a couple of sweet young girls. I was thinking about getting a t-shirt and wasn't quite sure if it fit me. No fitting room, but a couple of hours later I tried it on and it didn't quite fit, so they happily took it back and refunded it on my card.”

“Miles has revived my love for Urban Outfitters. Such an inviting warm welcoming person. I have increased my trips both in the store and online thanks to the level of customer service excuse me customer care Miles has displayed. I feel very welcome and safe shopping here. The styles are truly one of one quality trendy without being too cliche.There is a reason this location continues to reign supreme. It was all the rage 17 years ago when I was in my early college days . It is nice to see new generations of shoppers experiencing a brand that is truly a lifestyle.
Miles is truly one of one and has single handedly restored my love for the Urban Outfitters.Miles handles watch customer with such passion and care. I have increased my trips to the physical store solely because I know he’s likely to be present. Really great personality very professional knows the brand extensively. “Only reason didnt give the full 5 stars is their sale sign can be a little misleading and when asked about why I didnt receive the sale thay was mentioned onw of the other cashiers said its the tele coming up I noticed a paper on register with the smae sale as the sign posted for the item I received and it said the date now the other cashier seemed like she was being bothered with it because I asked it just seemed a little misleading so who wouldnt ask other than that everyone was friendly and helpful store was clean as well and somw good prices”
