“4 stars because it isn't the working-man USPS in the trenches that makes the system laughable, but the overpaid honchos in charge.
Overpaid, I said what I said. Doesn't take much to oversee operations are a disaster from the top down, especially at this location.
Hopefully retirement comes sooner rather than later for some folks there, and a new generation of faces that care will take the helm, ones that at least sort of care.
Finally, I have an entire family of postal workers, don't tell me I don't know how you people operate. ?”
“Tara who works alone on Saturdays is amazing! It gets swamped and yet she has a system to help everyone out efficiently. She does it all with humor, kindness, and a smile. Engaging everyone to join her in her happiness to provide excellent service, she makes you feel important. We went in this past Saturday very early for our passport appointment for our two children and she welcomed and accommodated us instead of sending us away. She helped every step of the process since we had never applied for a kid’s passport before. If there were more people with Tara’s energy and outlook the world would be a better place. Thank you Tara!”

“I admit, I was terrified when my package from St. Louis to Seattle somehow ended up on the opposite coast in Massachusetts. I was even more upset when I read the reviews for this distribution center. Fortunately for me, they redirected my package to its proper direction in a timely matter. I had no conversation with them, because I didn't need to. They handled it. I appreciate that alot. So, if your package ends up here, give them a lil time and patience. It may arrive later than expected, but it will arrive.”

“I would like to commend Sean the mail delivery person who delivers to Kanter Drive in Vernon . I buried my car in snow, and without hesitation, he stopped and assisted in shoveling me out. I was grateful and wanted to shine a light on how wonderfully helpful he was. He went above the call to help. He's a credit to the postal service. You're lucky he is your employee.”
“I absolutely love this post office location because not only are they open until 10:00 pm weeknights, but they’re also open Sundays! I mail a lot of packages for a hobby / small business and having these extra hours, especially on Sunday is a great option since I live nearby (20 minutes). There’s usually 2 windows staffed and line times vary. Like many post offices some of the clerks here are very friendly and others can be cranky! The cranky workers are why I didn’t give 5 stars which their hours are worthy of!”

I wish they would give the people getting passports clear instructions that they can walk away with, fill out the form, then come back to the counter instead of standing there clogging up the line and every time I hear the same thing “you have to fill everything out, yup you need to fill that out too” idk how a stranger needs to assist you in writing your personal information, it shouldn’t be that difficult. Otherwise the line seems to move quickly.”
“I have utilized this location daily for 27 years! Each and every employee from Christine( now retired), Jose, Maria, Destiny, Alex and others have always been extremely cordial and helpful. This includes their ability to assist in mailing locally, nationally and internationally. Always quick efficient and professional to make sure my items are mailed properly. Many customers who I have seen that seem in a rush or short on time are always helped with an explanation of what to expect on delivery times. Every staff member is top notch in my book.”
“This facility is always clean, as well as and nice and quiet. This is my favorite post office to use.
They never have as much on display, for sale, as the main post office in Springfield. I never buy anything anyway, I only mention it because it looks strange. ?”

“Love this post office! Staff is always courteous, patient, and friendly. Yes, sometimes the lines are long, especially around holidays and lunch times, but it gives you time to chat to other people waiting in line with you. I’ve been to other post offices in the Springfield area and always come back here.”
“Stopped by to mail a package, as I often do! I love this neighborhood post office, and I think its severely underfunded for the need it serves in the community. I love seeing the familiar face at the counter when I stop by!”

“I went in to look for service, there were three people before me. Very attentive, optimal and fast service. If you go on pay days you have to wait longer but no more than 20 minutes in line.”
“Writing this as I just sent a package today but will update if anything changes.Contrary to other reviews, the staff were extremely nice to me and others around me. I talked to 3 people which consisted of a younger gentleman, the older man and the older woman which were all very helpful and quick with me. I didn't feel like they were racist to me at all and same with the other Hispanic guys that were in front of me as well. I dropped the package off at 5PM and by 7PM it departed the store and USPS was in possession of the item.It seems they are improving their business but the only con that remains is that it's cash only. Otherwise they were good to me.”

“They had my package for me like the paper said. It's a original landmark of the area and the employees are very nice and always handle my requests well above and beyond my expectations! I'd much rather do my postal business at this great little location than at most of the other local post offices in the area. Have a blessed day!”
