“Palmer’s catered our rather large party following the 2024 Noank Classic Regatta. The food was delivered on time and, I must say, was excellent. Everything went according to plan and we received very positive reviews from everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful making our lives easy.”
“I just have to say, it's extremely clean and museum-like. The meat section looked light a high-end display. Everything is very very good. They make their own pizza and calzones that would rival many restaurants. They have the Big Y app on your phone that allows you to scan items on your phone, then SKIP the line at check out by just scanning a QR code on your way out. The only oddity is that the carriages are to the right of the entrance. You literally have to croos the exit to get a carriage, then cross the exit traffic to get into the store. A very very bad design. I try to get a carriage from the lot to eliminate that. Love the place and glad it's part of our community.”
“Very small and packed. Prices on some items were ok, others were a bit high. Good to visit to pick up essentials. Not really a place to walk around and Shop. Recommended.”

“Aldi in Waterford is consistently a 5 star experience for me! The store is always clean, organized & well stocked. The pricing is much more competitive than most of the surrounding stores (sans Walmart). Best of all, the employees are very helpful. They go above & beyond whenever I’ve asked for assistance or needed to borrow a quarter. I love the new addition of self check out. Makes my quick grocery runs even quicker. I’m glad they still offer a traditional check-out line for the elderly/those who can’t use self check-out.”

“Prices are good. The attendant was very helpful and kind. I hope the management will improve tge pumps with contact less paying and clearer instructions on the pumps' panels. Was looking for button to PRINT my gas receipt the pump but the screen wasn't that clear where to press "Yes or No" when asked if you would like a receipt? After I realized that you have to press the top arrow pointing to the left for Yes or press the right button in the screen to NO receipt.”
“Prices are really high. But the atmosphere is amazing. You walk in and can't help but smile between the staff and the smell. When I can't find what I need at the regular stores, most likely, Fiddleheads has it.
They have homeopathic, natural, vegan, options for things and cater to a variety of allergy needs. They also work with local farmers bringing in pesticide free produce, raw milk, local cheeses, as well as natural household items such as unbleached toilet paper and papertowel, biodegradable/disposable utensils, as well as chemical free dryer sheets and soaps.”

“Tiny store with plenty to offer. They bring in fresh fruits, veggies and other seasonal foods twice a week. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Have a lot of selection for noodles, spices and sauce.”
“Very nice newer store located in its own area. If I had one complaint it would be when you are coming from the west and need to make a left turn into the drive area to the parking lot. There is no turn signal and you are on a single lane road. A plus it's that there is a spacious parking area. Staff were nice, and greeted us when we came in. Store was well stocked and everything clearly marked as far as pricing.”

“October 2nd, 2024 I was shopping at this Big Y. Noticed the deli still had BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS OUT for people to BUY. BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT was in the NEWS for LISTERA OUTBREAK!! They found out their PROCCESSING PLANTS WERE DISGUSTING AND INFESTED WITH MOLD AND INSECTS!! PEOPLE WERE GETTING SICK ?? AND STILL ARE FROM BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS!! The news claimed BOARS HEAD WAS SHUTTING DOWN A PLANT IN VIRGINIA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT RIGHT NOW FROM THIS BIG Y!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE SELLING IT. THE DELI MEAT HAS BEEN RECALLED FROM VIRGINIA!! The woman I spoke to at the DELI said "THE BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT THEY HAD FOR SALE. WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL HOW DOES SHE KNOW IT WASN'T FROM THE PLANT IN VIRGINIA AND THEY DON'T TELL CUSTOMERS WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH BOARS HEAD" That is DISGUSTING AND MORALLY WRONG WHEN PEOPLE ARE STILL GETTING SICK ?? WITH LISTERA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD PRODUCTS RIGHT NOW!! THE BIG Y DELI SHOULD BE SELLING IT!! DO NOT GET SICK!!”

“I luv this store & their low prices & variety of foods. They supply plenty of frozen fish however, never can find tartar nor cocktail sauces. Regarding the grocery carts, WHY are they not enclosed from the outside elements? When it rains they are soaking wet & when snowing the wheels are frozen. Then our foods are wet when placed in the carts & this causes bacteria. So please ALDI'S build an enclosed outdoor area for these grocery carts, it's not that that costly to build.”

“Stop & Shop is a great neighborhood grocery store. I come into town often for work and this is where we go to buy everything for our grocery needs. For a small town, it's a big grocery store that has a bakery, deli, Starbucks, everything you could possibly need. It is very clean throughout the store. They're always fully stocked w/ fruit and vegetables, everything in the store with a big variety really. I've always found what I needed to buy and then some. The staff is super friendly and always great to chat with at check out. They follow covid protocol and wear masks and gloves, social distancing signs on the floor, and have the clear dividers at check out. Customers are also required to wear masks in the store. It's nice coming in there to buy what we need every trip.”
“Here's the major issue, each time I enter this store to buy some baking soda (that is all I ever get at the Dollar General) the same weird male in a black shirt will come to the register (even if someone else is actively on the register, that person will be removed) and the same strange male will insist on checking out my items. SUPER WEIRD. The last time I was in the store about 1.5 weeks ago in January of 2022, there was only one person on the register. A white girl, who scoffed and scowled at me as I walked into the store and made my way to the isle I needed. Upon checking out, the girl turned off her register lights (as I placed my items at the register) the creepy male in the black shirt rushed over to a different register and she claimed that I "had" to go over to the creepy guy to get checked out, again (while laughing and smirking, as though redirecting me to the same creepy checkout guy, every time I shop at this location, is some sort of joke). Obviously, I won't be back to this store EVER but if someone else out there notices this same creepy, PREDATORY behavior while trying to quietly shop, 1.) NO, YOU'RE NOT IMAGINING IT. I notice this happening every single time I go to this location and it's most likely happening to other women and girl shoppers, too + 2.) YES, it is CREEPY, WRONG AND PREDATORY. Do take your buisness somewhere where you can peacefully shop without being preyed upon by some CREEP! I was going to properly withdraw my support by returning the items I purchased that day (I should have left them at the register the MOMENT the rude cashier tried to redirect me to that creep again; I know”

“First time here. Needed a marker for some renovations. Didn’t want to have to go all the way to Home Depot. Took a chance and came in here.Fortunately found a marker I could use. Picked it up quickly went to the cashier. She was super nice and efficient. Prices were excellent. Was in and out.”

We were inquiring about the history of the neighbourhood and they were happy to share the what they knew. Tim was very helpful and even spent some time on the west coast where we currently reside. Such a small world sometimes.”

I usually go to the Dollar General store on Colman Street in New London ct. because they usually have the White chocolate M&Ms which I am a fan of !! Well the other day I went into this location to get my candy and couldn’t find them anywhere ?! So I asked the clerk who always helps me Caroline if they are out ? She dropped what she was doing and looked for them she finally spotted them behind the counter I was one happy customer!! Now Caroline went above and beyond for a customer which makes her AWESOME in my book !! Also the cashier Lauren was so helpful too”
