“Since I moved out here a little over a year ago, I have not been pleased with ordering Italian grinders from local restaurants in this area. I went to big Y to purchase items to make Italian grinders at home and to my surprise they have a whole deli/ Sandwich kitchen. I ordered a large Italian sub loaded with boars head quality meat and veggies for $11.99. This was by far the best grinder I’ve had since I moved out here. Nothing even comes close! Thank you Earl, you gained a loyal hungry customer ????”
“As an Asian market it's fantastic that this establishment is in our neighborhood. I was traveling to Boston Chinatown for my authentic Asian sauces, and Asian foods to make my Authentic Asian meals. I was pleasantly pleased to find this Jewel right in the heart of Norwich. And the staff are pleasantly helpful.”

“October 2nd, 2024 I was shopping at this Big Y. Noticed the deli still had BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS OUT for people to BUY. BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT was in the NEWS for LISTERA OUTBREAK!! They found out their PROCCESSING PLANTS WERE DISGUSTING AND INFESTED WITH MOLD AND INSECTS!! PEOPLE WERE GETTING SICK ?? AND STILL ARE FROM BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS!! The news claimed BOARS HEAD WAS SHUTTING DOWN A PLANT IN VIRGINIA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT RIGHT NOW FROM THIS BIG Y!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE SELLING IT. THE DELI MEAT HAS BEEN RECALLED FROM VIRGINIA!! The woman I spoke to at the DELI said "THE BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT THEY HAD FOR SALE. WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL HOW DOES SHE KNOW IT WASN'T FROM THE PLANT IN VIRGINIA AND THEY DON'T TELL CUSTOMERS WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH BOARS HEAD" That is DISGUSTING AND MORALLY WRONG WHEN PEOPLE ARE STILL GETTING SICK ?? WITH LISTERA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD PRODUCTS RIGHT NOW!! THE BIG Y DELI SHOULD BE SELLING IT!! DO NOT GET SICK!!”

“Stop & Shop is a great neighborhood grocery store. I come into town often for work and this is where we go to buy everything for our grocery needs. For a small town, it's a big grocery store that has a bakery, deli, Starbucks, everything you could possibly need. It is very clean throughout the store. They're always fully stocked w/ fruit and vegetables, everything in the store with a big variety really. I've always found what I needed to buy and then some. The staff is super friendly and always great to chat with at check out. They follow covid protocol and wear masks and gloves, social distancing signs on the floor, and have the clear dividers at check out. Customers are also required to wear masks in the store. It's nice coming in there to buy what we need every trip.”
“The Dollar General I've been to! The Staff are so nice and store is always kept up stocked and clean. Not to mention that here in the forest of Voluntown there is barely enough stores close by and I pretty much rely on this store being close by its wonderful. Basically a mini walmart”
“The employees of this location are amazing. They have smiles on their faces, greet the customers with kindness and treat the customers with respect. But I have noticed this daily occurrence of the store manager spending more time outside in her vehicle smoking cigarettes than actually working. Said manager also will leave employees alone at the store for hours without help when she should be working or at least have a second person that can run registers if it is busy. Overall I love the store. But the manager needs to do better.”

“First time here. Needed a marker for some renovations. Didn’t want to have to go all the way to Home Depot. Took a chance and came in here.Fortunately found a marker I could use. Picked it up quickly went to the cashier. She was super nice and efficient. Prices were excellent. Was in and out.”
“My wife and I went to Sar Market for the first time tonight to purchase a couple of items. We were greeted with friendly staff and warm hospitality as soon as we entered the market.

“This was a great target to stop by at! I was in need of some travel snacks and water and came to the perfect place. This target was clean, huge, and everything was well-organized. I never had a calmer time at a target lol. Grabbed what I needed and they even had the new Taylor vinyl albums that were hard to find around my home targets. Nabbed that and headed to checkout. Super simple and it's a great pit stop for travelers!”

“It was easy to get to. I was easily able to find what I went there for plus a couple other things. The store was clean the bathroom was clean as I had to change my 1-year-old diaper. All together one of the better Walmarts that I have visited.”

Staff is always friendly and they always have whatever it is I'm looking for so, I drive a little bit extra just to use this location because they're so awesome!”
