You get the variety, volume and pricing of the "box" stores, and the individual attention, simplicity of purchasing, and quality control/follow through of your local lumber and hardware store. We recently built a barn that required a great deal of material for completion. Brad and Allie were both excellent contact people to ensure I got the best quality materials at the best pricing. Even when there was a glitch in the order of materials for the roof, Washington Supply went above and beyond to secure the best outcome. That's when that more personal attention is most evident and most welcome. My advice is not to waste the time and the trip to the box store and work with a local business that can give you the best of everything.”

“Benjamin Moore paint is probably the best stuff out there. It coats the best, is the easiest to work with and just looks better. So that by itself makes Besse's the ultimate painter's destination in Torrington - well, DIY-painter, that is. They know their stuff here, are very friendly and have just about everything you need to paint anything in their relatively small store. Parking is a bit problematic at times, but it's not a big deal. Great painting resource.”
“In 2004 my wife and I were looking for high quality cabinet hardware for our new kitchen cabinets and decided to go with Colonial Bronze series 192 knobs and series 722 handles in oil rubbed bronze Finish for Life. Now 17 years later, we still like the hardware but some of the most used pieces had developed some minor but noticeable tarnish issues. After a few emails back and forth, Colonial Bronze offered to refinish at no cost to me all 28 that I had purchased so there would be no shade variations between any of them. It only took 9 days from the time I shipped them to get them back done and they look great! Not only did Colonial Bronze honor without issue their product warranty they also provided excellent customer support.
