“Typical Home Depot setup within the store, but the one thing I have noticed compared to the one in Waterford is that this one is not as busy. Which is always great for me, since its easier to shop withut bumping into a lot of people. And their inventory on some items seem to be more available. I know of at least three times I have come here to shop as the other one by our house was out if stock: Bathroom Vanity, pressure washer, rug, patio chairs, and most recently a specific upgraded BBQ. Guess thats more than 3 times, LOL. Each time we were looking for a specific model or type and noticed thru the HD website the Montville Store had the items in stock. Last time we were there we noticed they are very specific on entrance and exit, having an Associate at each location to ensure you came in thru one door only. Aisles were not designated as one way though. Staff were friendly and knowledgable, except for that one guy guarding the entrance! Nearly ran me away for approaching from the store, telling me it was not an exit. All I wanted was an Associate to help me in the Garden Area. Luckily there was another person there that took care of me. All in all this would be our go to store if it was a little closer. As it stands now, its our "go to store" for those hard to find and/or popular items.”

“We needed 3 pendent lights for our new kitchen island. We had no idea where to start. Shopping online provided us no help and was not a good experience. We visited Melissa in her store and in just a few minutes she was able to look at a picture of our new kitchen island and make recommendations on what to order. She reviewed the pictures of the island, ceiling heights, knobs and fixture colors and clearly made the best suggestions on the lights to order. She even reviewed the different finishes the lights came in and perfectly match the metal color of the pendent light and size of the fixture that looked the best in our new kitchen. Her services provided in our selection process could not be achieved by just going on line and placing an order. We visited the store and must say it was an incredible experience working with Melissa. The ability to get help from Melissa, "Shop Local" and receive the lights in three days made for an incredible shopping experience at Be The Light Designs.”

“All the materials you could ever need and a knowledgeable staff to help you figure out what you need if you're unfamiliar with building or remodeling. Their tools are a little on the expensive side, but you're supporting a local small business rather than a corporate giant that funnels its profits away and out of our local economy. The yard guys can be a little blind to a customer in need, but I assume they're actually busy assembling somebody else's order? Anyways it's one of the last local lumbaryards left so help keep a local business alive and shop there instead of Home Depot or Lowe's.”

“To the team who helped my dad get his product purchased fresh together after a random speedy driver hit his cart leaving the store. Thank goodness his sling from surgery didn’t get direct hit. So close to devasting! Pending status. Ouch. Go team.”

“One employee tried to be helpful but after a while it seemed like he was trying to brush me off the two that finally helped me get the right tool for the job did better to assist unfortunately cannot remember their names at the moment.”

“A Home Depot is a Home Depot. Their online system seems to keep pretty up to date and we've never had something say instock online and not be in the store. Aisle location also seems to always be correct. Good selection of stuff. Never have a problem finding what we are looking for. Staff is kind and helpful when you need it. My only real complaint is that they have moved mostly to self check out and I'm just not a huge fan of that switch in general. They offer a military discount at this store, but it has to be pre registered to your phone number/account so you can't just show your ID(active or dependent) and get it.”
