“Typical Home Depot setup within the store, but the one thing I have noticed compared to the one in Waterford is that this one is not as busy. Which is always great for me, since its easier to shop withut bumping into a lot of people. And their inventory on some items seem to be more available. I know of at least three times I have come here to shop as the other one by our house was out if stock: Bathroom Vanity, pressure washer, rug, patio chairs, and most recently a specific upgraded BBQ. Guess thats more than 3 times, LOL. Each time we were looking for a specific model or type and noticed thru the HD website the Montville Store had the items in stock. Last time we were there we noticed they are very specific on entrance and exit, having an Associate at each location to ensure you came in thru one door only. Aisles were not designated as one way though. Staff were friendly and knowledgable, except for that one guy guarding the entrance! Nearly ran me away for approaching from the store, telling me it was not an exit. All I wanted was an Associate to help me in the Garden Area. Luckily there was another person there that took care of me. All in all this would be our go to store if it was a little closer. As it stands now, its our "go to store" for those hard to find and/or popular items.”

“Hi everyone....so i had to replace a stem from my tub i have an old setup 2 shower knobs but couldn't find it anywhere called Montville hardware in Montville and a wonderful gentleman named Joe answered and assisted me he had one left and was happy to hold it for me til i got there later on in the day....i replaced the stem and everything works....thank you Joe and Montville hardware for helping me with the need to fix my shower”

“This Ace Hardware Center is huge. The offer lots of things. They have storage units for rent and u haul to name a few extras that they have. There's plenty of parking. And for a real big bonus they take UPS. The employees were very helpful and nice. They also have propane refills.”

“I worked with Ryan and Justin here at Thames valley. I was having quite the month of bad experiences and bad luck left and right. Like most people I’m sure I can easily say I’ve given up on good customer service. But there’s always the rare breeds that seem to keep the customer service industry alive. These two were exceptional from the start. To the phone conversations on what to do with my water heater all the way to the purchasing process and pick up. They went above and beyond! Great conversation and knowledge. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an easy process or just simply looking for knowledge about the industry. 5 stars all the way around”

“This weekend I needed three buckets of 6inch spiral common spikes for a landscaping job at my house. Home Depot in Waterford showed 5.7 buckets, which makes no sense, in stock. When I went there to pick up my product, there was not one person at that location that could help me and every time I found a store employee, they would talk to me for a minute and walk away to help someone else. Waterford Home Depot is probably one of the most unprofessional hardware stores in our area. I then called Uncasville Home Depot and they told me they had 6 buckets in stock. When I got there, the assistant manager, Sydney, helped me locate the buckets and was one of the most professional Home Depot employees I have ever met. It would be my suggestion, if you ever need anything out of the ordinary at Home Depot, do not go to Waterford Home Depot, go to Uncasville because the employees there are trained well unlike at the Waterford location.”
“I called to rent a niche tool that Matthew got shipped in from another store for me at no additional cost. When plans changed and I had to cancel my rental, it took me about 20 seconds on the phone with Rick to get a 100% refund for my deposit, despite having it on hold for me for the weekend and the following day.Didn’t use their tools, but they clearly treat their customers right. They’ve earned my business.”

“If you want to step up your design when it comes to bath and kitchen fixtures, skip the big box and come here. Besides the beautiful sinks, tubs and toilets, you actually have folks who know what they're doing. At our most recent visit we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful to find what we needed which was not easy. We come here because they have quality products that carry better manufacturers warranties. They have or can get the parts to fix or accentuate whatever they sell. Thank God our plumber turned us on to them!”

“My wife and I visited the Waterford store last night for an oven and as usual in any lowes it was hard to find assistance without wandering the store. However we met Lura an associate who went above and beyond with the help of an upbeat supervisor. They got the job done and we were happy. Lowes can use more of them. When Lura couldn't find the staff for that department she called and asked her supervisor to show how to process sale. She was cool and patient. Kind. We appreciate it.”
