PetSmart
351 N Frontage Rd, New LondonWe brought our finicky pup to PetSmart for a wash this Christmas. Dog washer Jen did a fantastic job! She was so good with him and our little boy came back so clean and spiffy-looking.
Five stars. Highly recommend booking an appointment with Jen!

A Place 2 Go Jamaican Restaurant
422 Williams St, New LondonIn town visiting mom and we stumbled on this local Jamaican restaurant. The oxtails fell off the bone and had great flavor, the rice & peas were right and the cabbage was just as I like (not over cooked). The Jerk chicken wasn't great but was definitely ok, we also had some decent patties and of course ginger beer. The location was clean and staff very friendly!! Will be back to try the other dishes next visit to the area.

Dockside Resort Bar
32 Bank St, New LondonThey make a wicked burger and the kitchen is open late. They have a piano. They have clean bathrooms. They have $5 beers. I'm not sure what else you could ask for in a spot like this.
Cozy and next door to the train is another bonus.
Crowd is friendly and mild mannered. A good place to sit alone or with company. The staff makes sure you're in good company either way.

The blue duck bar & kitchen
52 Bank St, New LondonThese were easily the best fried calamari I've had in a long time. It was some white balsamic dressing? I won't do it justice with trying to describe it, but it was beautifully balanced and paired with the dish perfectly. Fun local atmosphere with great service.
