Pet Care

Pawcatuck Veterinary Clinic
37 S Broad St # 4, PawcatuckWe recently had to put our beloved cat down. In the past I have spent a great deal of money to have a vet come to the house to administer euthanasia to our pets thinking that I did not want them to be scared or anxious. This time I decided to bring our pet to Pawcatuck Veterinary Clinic. What a comforting experience. They have a room dedicated to the process with pleasant lighting, sounds and surroundings. A sedative is administered which takes 5-7 minutes to take effect. Instead of leaving the room and using this precious time as a vet, Dr. Rosenberg stayed in the room, answered any questions we had and talked us throught the process. The vet tech who assisted was amazing and made my family be at peace. If you are ever in the situation to make end of life decisions for your furry loved ones, rest assured they will feel comfort in the care Pawcatuck Veterinary clinic provides.

Northeastern Veterinary Care Center
144 Whitehall Ave, MysticDr. Beal was extraordinary with us. We had an emergency with our dog, and we were seen right away. From the moment we walked in, the doctor and her team treated us with so much kindness, love, and respect.
Dr. Beal was very honest and compassionate when explaining our dog’s condition. She had been with us for 16 years, and Dr. Beal gave us the time we needed to think and explained our options with clarity and care.
Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl, and once again we were met with understanding and support. Thank you for practicing your profession with true love for animals, not for money.

Dog Watch Cafe
194 Water St, StoningtonThe patio outside is very nice. Kinda small inside but the deliciousness of the Whole Belly Clams is worth the ride from Southbridge to Southington. Food is pleasing....

Stonington Pizza Palace
530 Stonington Rd, StoningtonBelieve it or not, this little pizzeria has one of the best lobster rolls i've ever had, including in maine. I did not have any pizza, so I cannot say but it is definitely looks like the place to be for during the summer. And when they have lobster, rolls in stock.
Spoke to the owner, who's been there for about forty years.Really?Nice guy, family friendly, a place you should go.

Lighthouse Bakery
21 E Main St, MysticAwesome cafe, check it out!
We were recommended the cinnamon rolls by the cashier because their cafe is well known for how delicious they were.
Sadly the cinnamon rolls disappointed us…however everything else was five stars.
If you like chicken in your salad, this cafe makes some of the most tender chicken dishes in the town.
Overall, check them out!

Dog Watch Mystic
20 Old Stonington Rd, StoningtonMy friends and I stopped in for lunch. We all ordered something different and found our lunches were absolutely delicious. We ate inside because the weather was cool and windy. But if the weather had been better we would have eaten on the outside patio which was lovely. The grounds were beautifully planted with gorgeous flowers.. I would definitely go back if I have the chance.

Stonington Vineyards
523 Taugwonk Rd, StoningtonThe setting is wonderful in the hills in northern Stoningon. The wine is good, not great, but perfectly acceptable for a Connecticut vineyard. Sit in the chairs on the lawn and look out on the rows of grapes. An enjoyable afternoon.

Red 36
2 Washington St, MysticWe had an awesome lunch at Red 36 over 4th of July weekend and will definitely be back. The location right on the water is hard to beat—the views of the marina and all the boats create an amazing atmosphere that's quintessential Mystic.
The food and drinks were excellent, with a menu that has something for everyone, especially seafood lovers. The lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had—fresh, generously portioned, and packed with flavor.
If you're looking for a great waterfront spot with delicious food, drinks, exceptional service, and a fun ambiance, Red 36 is absolutely worth a visit.

Engine Room
14 Holmes St, MysticComing here, you can tell it's less about seafood than many of the other restaurants in Mystic and more about their burgers and unique cocktails.
The food we ordered was good enough, the service was friendly, but they definitely need to work on their service times. It took about fifteen minutes from when we ordered our drinks and apps to get our apps, and we were still waiting on the drinks.
I'd suggest this place as one to grab a drink rather than to get a full meal, save your hunger for a neighboring restaurant
