19 Wilbur Rd, New PrestonWe brought a dog here a couple times. Staff is great and friendly, price is reasonable. There is a sign as you pull in the driveway to beep the horn as you pull in to help them know that you’re here. You pull into the back you’ll see the kennel in the way back past the house.

The Smithy Cafe at 9 Main
9 Main Street, New PrestonThe reviewer that mentioned the 30 minute parking limit is misleading. That applies to 3 spaces in their lot that are double parking their staff. All the other spaces have no limit, and there is parking on the street behind and in front of the Smithy. People going to the market also park here, so don’t let the lot deter you!
This is my go to place most weekends. I am gluten free, and they’re honest about their limitations, however I’ve never had an issue. The food is awesome! Everyone here is also kind. They are welcoming when I’m there to do work, read a book, or with a group of kids.
At times it can get really busy, and other times nearly empty, so it can be a hit or miss situation. However they are straight forward on their cook times on longer days. Also, there’s seating all around the building, so in the warmer months is really fun!
It can be a bit on the pricier side for a cafe, but I find it reflects the quality and the atmosphere. Definitely check them out!

The farm is clean, the horses are happy and, having worked there as a volunteer for ~6years, have seen many go from skinny/injured and afraid to healthy and recovered mentally and off to a forever home. Patty runs a tight ship and is a force of nature when it comes to running the organization, she not only oversees the day to day operations but is more hands on than many in charge of a non-profit like this
