120 Housatonic Ave, New MilfordI brought my two dogs in for grooming, teeth cleaning, and nail trimming. They had a great time and came home so fluffy and happy! We have a Bernese mountain dog and a German Shepard so big furry girls and 5 days later they are still both fluffy and beautiful. They also gave some great recommendations for nail maintenance for the now senior German shepherd. We will be back.

They make it feel like home when you walk in with your pet. They all try to make the whole process as smooth as possible for you and your pet. My animals can be scared at the vet especially my cat and they still make it as easy as possible for them. I highly recommend Candlewood Animal Hospital.

Let me say that I have never seen rolls as large as the one's they use -- absolutely HUGE! Just gigantic torpedo rolls! Now I only ever have breakfast or lunch here on occasion but I watch and see what these ladies are doing back there. Everything is being made fresh on the premises! Everything! Sometimes the smells are overwhelming in there with all of the cooking, different flavors and meats cooking! Bottom line: if you like Latin and or Spanish food/deli/hot buffet -- well, this IS the place. Excellent prices and generous portions! Surprisingly lousy coffee! Truly a take-out place.

In that time I have had three German Shepherds from Von Wilhendorf, beginning with Gymbo and now my newest, Wylie. John is simply the best — a world class breeder and trainer who genuinely cares about his dogs and the families who take them home. He is a straight shooter who stands behind his dogs, and his knowledge, dedication, and integrity are unmatched. Yes, his dogs are an investment — but you get exactly what you pay for, and then some. The quality, health, and temperament speak for themselves the moment you meet your puppy.
I visited twice before bringing Wylie home — and both times John and Karen gave me their full attention. They don't just talk to you about dogs — they talk to you about you. They listen, they care, and they genuinely wanted to make sure I was going home with exactly the right dog for me. John even unboxed my crate, set it up, and made sure it fit properly in my car before I left for the trip home. He also sent me off with a collar and other supplies to get me started. Those are the touches that tell you everything about the kind of people they are.
If you want the best German Shepherd you will ever own, there is simply no one else. Both are such nice people — I truly enjoy talking and spending time with them. I always come back to John — and Wylie is proof of why.

BeCAUSE 4 PAWS
10 Prospect Hill Rd, New MilfordOne of the few true rescue places in the State. They do not sell dogs like some places that list themselves as a rescue. Our puppy was $475 and includes neuter and microchip and he came with his first shots as well. I tell everyone, adopt don't shop, and look at their website when you are ready! Thank you because4paws for Teddy, the light in our life right now. We just adore him and so does all of our family and friends.
