The Downtown Dog
120 Housatonic Ave, New MilfordI brought my two dogs in for grooming, teeth cleaning, and nail trimming. They had a great time and came home so fluffy and happy! We have a Bernese mountain dog and a German Shepard so big furry girls and 5 days later they are still both fluffy and beautiful. They also gave some great recommendations for nail maintenance for the now senior German shepherd. We will be back.

They make it feel like home when you walk in with your pet. They all try to make the whole process as smooth as possible for you and your pet. My animals can be scared at the vet especially my cat and they still make it as easy as possible for them. I highly recommend Candlewood Animal Hospital.

They were compassionate and very obviously cared about not only our fur-baby, but about us too. It was one of the worst times of our lives but they went above and beyond to support us and care for Lulu in her final days.

38 Bridge St, New MilfordEvery once in a while I like to go native and go Latin. If it's actually Spanish, I apologize -- I truthfully don't know! This place came highly recommended! Let me say that I have never seen rolls as large as the one's they use -- absolutely HUGE! Just gigantic torpedo rolls! Now I only ever have breakfast or lunch here on occasion but I watch and see what these ladies are doing back there. Everything is being made fresh on the premises! Everything! Sometimes the smells are overwhelming in there with all of the cooking, different flavors and meats cooking! Bottom line: if you like Latin and or Spanish food/deli/hot buffet -- well, this IS the place. Excellent prices and generous portions! Surprisingly lousy coffee! Truly a take-out place.

254 Danbury Rd, New MilfordWife and I went here on a Saturday evening. Started off with the fried calamari, steamed pork dumplings and crispy duck pao buns which were all pretty good. Calamari was exceptional. Wife had the Hawaii roll which she loved, I had the red lobster roll which was warm and mushy. I didn't care for it. Carrin was our waitress and she was prompt and knowledgeable with the menu. Was very nice that we were not rushed. When we finished one item, they would clear the table and then bring out the next serving. Good service, nice atmosphere and good food for the most part.
Would definitely be back.

10 Prospect Hill Rd, New MilfordOne of the few true rescue places in the State. They do not sell dogs like some places that list themselves as a rescue. Our puppy was $475 and includes neuter and microchip and he came with his first shots as well. I tell everyone, adopt don't shop, and look at their website when you are ready! Thank you because4paws for Teddy, the light in our life right now. We just adore him and so does all of our family and friends.
