“Great place. Bobby is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was able to answer every single question we had about the fish and plants. We purchased 2 fish, one butterfly koi and one goldfish. Unfortunately, one had died the next day with no explanation. I was devastated, so my boyfriend brought me back the next day to purchase another fish, but Bobby let us have another one since we lost our previous one.

“I was in a pinch and needed plant food, so I stopped at Bell Nurseries in Hamden. I was so impressed! Not only did they have an amazing variety of plants, but they also had so much more to offer. I saw a great selection of wind chimes, knickknacks, seeds, fertilizers, soil, and birdbaths.
The staff was incredibly helpful, especially compared to the big box stores. I ended up buying a metal stand birdbath, and I love watching the birds enjoy it every day.
I highly recommend checking this place out! It's also conveniently located just off I-91 at Exit 10 (first exit off the connector) or off Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) at exits 51 or 52 depending on your direction. It's not far from the highway either way and is definitely worth skipping the big box store for.”

“As someone who works in the trades this is a vital store for me. The employees are very knowledgeable about where items are. They always have sales going on, especially for my beloved Milwaukee and DeWalt tools.
I'm basically there once a month to stock up on drill bits, misc tools, drivers, and welding consumables, albeit airgas in North Haven has a much more selective supply of welding gear, but can become very pricy when all I need is some 7018 rods or new gloves.
Even there garden center is top notch.

I don’t live in Connecticut and needed to place an order from out of state, so I relied on Google to find a florist. I originally ordered from James Crest Florist, but unfortunately the flowers were never delivered and I was never contacted. When I followed up, I was told they could deliver another day or issue a full credit. I requested the full credit and am still waiting for it.
After that experience, I decided to Google another option and found Hamden Florist — and I’m so glad I did. From the first interaction, they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The plant they delivered was absolutely beautiful — fresh, well-arranged, and exceeded my expectations.

“Beautiful, fresh farm produce. Bought some field-grown tomatoes. Also some fresh figs- ate one in the parking lot before I left. Delicious. Got some Ciabatta bread and Italian plums. Associates are friendly and efficient. They have lots more too.7/23 Fruits of the Forest pie was Fresh and Delicious! Large tasty tomatoes, orange peppers, a large canteloupe and ripe peaches! “I had a very positive experience at this Walmart- all because of one of their customer service representatives, Jessica. I was fortunate enough to be transferred to her when I called for information regarding a chair I was trying to purchase. I needed to find out whether, if the chair wasn't right, it could be returned and at what cost. Jessica quickly point out that the chair I was trying to buy would not qualify for free returns but a basically identical one would be. I was especially impressed that- her own - she also offered me a discount code. I would have never been able to know what chair to buy and how to get the discount. People like Jessica are often the face of a store, and Jessica was a friendly, helpful and smiling one throughout. I'm very pleased and very grateful.”
