“We stopped in yesterday for the first time. We needed a couple of plants and we were really impressed. They have a lot of plants and flowers and a nice variety. Everything is so healthy!! The plants are well organized so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. Vivian helped us find the right plants for the conditions that they will be in. Besides plants and flowers they have both bulk and bagged mulch. They also have a farm stand. It’s easy to get to and plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.”
“What a nice old nursery to visit. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. There was a very nice variety of plants. We saw a beautiful tree, reasonably priced, but we could not fit it in our vehicle and it was almost 2hrs away. Overall very nice place.”

“EDITED on 4/19. A Customer Service Manager contacted me to issue a refund for the difference in price & apologized for the confusing message about price match. Since I did have both receipts, I would be eligible for the refund. I think a new employee misunderstood their policy. They also gave me bonus points and a coupon which I felt was very nice and very good customer service!
Nice store in North Branford with good customer service but you need to check prices sometimes before buying because they don't price match. On the 11th, I bought a small bag of Open Farm Salmon dog kibble with grains - $26.99. Went to All Pets Club in Branford today & the same bag was less.”
“We live in Cheshire and love Zentek farms. We have gone strawberry picking which was a lot of fun. We also often buy the fresh fruits and vegetables which are delicious. It is good to be able to support a local business and eat wonderful fresh food. The people who work there are so nice and friendly. We recently bought some pumpkins and mums which are looking lovely out on our deck!”

“This is an excellent garden center! They have a vast variety of both indoor and outdoor plants. They have a variety of mulch vases gardening supplies and tools. They have bird feeders, bird baths, shepherds hooks. They have pretty much everything you need for your home garden and indoor plants. In addition to all the items that are available the staff is knowledgeable about gardening and the plants.”

“I had a very hard time finding a local florist that had a storefront and was still in business. I went to 2 locations, one which was abandoned and the other closed before finding Alan's shop. Hamden Florist has been great! I had to run in and get a last-minute bouquet and the owner, Alan was very helpful and kind and listened to what I wanted. Not only did he do a fantastic job but he got it done in a short amount of time. I received a gorgeous bouquet at the most affordable and reasonable price I've found anywhere else. I ended up going back a few later for another arrangement and I was not disappointed.”

Bell carries some absolutely stunning and hard to find ever green trees in all sorts of sizes and maturity in a truly peaceful garden like setting. “I had a very positive experience at this Walmart- all because of one of their customer service representatives, Jessica. I was fortunate enough to be transferred to her when I called for information regarding a chair I was trying to purchase. I needed to find out whether, if the chair wasn't right, it could be returned and at what cost. Jessica quickly point out that the chair I was trying to buy would not qualify for free returns but a basically identical one would be. I was especially impressed that- her own - she also offered me a discount code. I would have never been able to know what chair to buy and how to get the discount. People like Jessica are often the face of a store, and Jessica was a friendly, helpful and smiling one throughout. I'm very pleased and very grateful.”

“My go to home improvement center, typical Home Depot. Must make note, I previously suggested them for countertops. After all was done, I wouldn't get them designed or installed from HD again. There was lots of issues with the process, including the designer(she didn't want to assist once she got her commissions)and install (broken or missing ) but just to run in for soil or light bulbs, ok”
“Unfortunately, the items I needed in the Home Depot in Orange were not in stock. They sent me to the Hamden store. After spending five minutes looking for someone to help me, I was able to find the items I needed. The store was not in the same clean condition as the one in Orange. I would feel more comfortable shopping in Hamden if there was a security guard or two visible. In view of the increase in crime committed in Hamden, I do believe the store would be doing more business with additional staff.”

“Yesterday was the first time we purchased our annual Christmas tree from them. All of their trees were perfectly shaped, full and fresh. And, the price was better than other retailers. This is by far the nicest tree we have ever found.”
