“We had a really lovely brunch at the Old Lyme Inn. It was indeed jazzy, just the right level of music from a superb trio to accompany delicious food and a special drink. May have to be a regular thing!”

“My husband and I stayed here in August for a few days so we could explore the area and spend time with my brother and his family, who were renting a cottage nearby. My mother came with us and rented her own room. It was the perfect home base to return to at night after spending an afternoon on a Lights and Sights cruise in New London and a day at the beach with my brother. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and affordable. We liked that it had well-stocked kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. The owner was friendly and accommodating when we made our reservation, and again when I had to change it to a different date. We were easily able to get into our room using a code. It's a super short drive to Niantic, so we could easily drive to the bakery in the morning to pick up breakfast sandwiches and grinders for the beach and had plenty of restaurants to choose from, including in nearby Westbrook. My only suggestion is for the room to have at least one comfy chair, as it is plenty spacious to fit one and I would have preferred to not sit on the bed at night to watch TV or on the breakfast bar stool to drink my coffee, though I understand this is a personal preference. I ended up bringing in a beach chair for these purposes.”

“My daughter had her wedding here. It was perfect. The wedding planners were gracious and helpful. From the photos on the dock and the cocktail hour where guests were greeted with signature cocktails to the delicious food and excellent service, it was perfect. Excellent hotel staff also.”

“What a wonderful experience! My husband and I love taking weekend gateway to different places. I came across the Inn and couldn't have been happier. The bed and breakfast atmosphere was just what we needed for our Valentines Weekend away. The staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious the view while having coffee was breath taking and relaxing. The menu was just enough. The room was our favorite, the decor, the layout, the cozy feeling we felt while staying there. By far one of the most quiet places at night. THIS was exactly what we wanted to recharge and relax! The inn provided cheese and wine in the evenings and cookies! YUMM, coffee bars set up in both buildings. It was perfect for us. We will be back we enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you to the staff for making it even more memorable.”

“This was bar none the perfect spot for our girls weekend. Every single detail in this home was special and intentional. There were slippers for us, gorgeous plates and serving ware, tea options, a record player (with an amazing selection!), books, and the coziest bedding of all time. The decor is objectively stunning and seemed to nail both a cozy and a minimal/lodge vibe that made everything feel special. The fireplace was easy to use and instructions were clear, and the hosts were extremely communicative. We all agreed it would be hard to top this place, so we may just need to come back year after year.”

“My wife and I recently spent five days vacationing in Old Saybrook. Not being a big fan of corporate hotels with their overpriced rooms and marginal service we opted to stay at the family owned/operated Pier Blue Inn. Check in was quick and easy. Because it was off season, the front desk manager gave us a free upgrade to a King Room which we found exceptional clean and comfortable. The Inn was located near all the places we had planned to visit along with many excellent restaurants. The attentive staff couldn't do enough to help make our visit more pleasurable. “So I’ve stayed here a few times now and I’ve got to say the location is beautiful! Right by the playhouse and a few really good restaurants. The rooms are cozy with a modern classic feeling very cozy. I’ve noticed the people that stay here are all very easy going and kind ? plus the young man downstairs is always around to help if I need it! It feels like a small community right here in the building. Will absolutely be staying again ?”

Perfectly clean, staff very friendly, especially the room cleaner's and the receptionist who, along with her husband went over the top to help be get a Uber when my phone went crazy !
Very peaceful, which encourages a great night sleep.
And free Coffee, what more could I want ?
