I had an absolutely exceptional experience at the West Hartford UPS Store, thanks entirely to Amanda. She is a phenomenal employee who went above and beyond the call of duty.
The outstanding service started even before I arrived: when I called the store, Amanda proactively gave me her name, ensuring that I knew exactly who to ask for to receive personalized help. When I arrived, she followed through with incredible dedication.
I needed to ship a large, artificial Christmas tree from Connecticut all the way to Alabama for my son's former special needs class. This was a complex and potentially costly task, but Amanda treated the shipment with incredible care. She meticulously researched every option, ensuring we found the easiest and most cost-effective solution to get the tree to the students.
Her kindness, patience, and commitment to making this process seamless were truly remarkable. Amanda is not just doing her job; she is a genuinely nice and caring person who makes a positive difference. She deserves the highest praise. “Visited the post office around 4pm on a Wednesday. The gentlemen working recognized that we were not super familiar with postage and kindly taped our package (while noting that it did need to be taped), helped us figure out the zip code to an address we were given the incorrect zip code to, and gave us the address of the nearest UPS for a return we needed to make through them. We were very thankful for his patience and assistance.”

“I had to leave a review after visiting this post office today. The way they decorated the office for Breast Cancer Awareness truly deserves recognition—it’s beautiful and so thoughtful. I was left flabbergasted at the effort and creativity they put into it. On top of that, the service was friendly and quick. “Just a quick shout out to these guys… I see a lot of negative complaints and some are from people who don’t understand the duties of a driver delivering items and some are with higher expectations…Honestly, I have no problems with Estes. They make sure they contact me for delivery date that is acceptable for everyone. I have an easy access warehouse dock. Accommodates large or small truck and that makes delivery easy as well. Friendly drivers, friendly sales and office staff, accurate delivery times. The driver even helped take off the load. Was not asked and was not expected but graciously volunteered to did that. Came with their pallet jack. Other companies don’t always have a pallet jack on the back of their truck.”
“Decent if you're using the self-service kiosk. There are times when it may be acting up, no physical receipt, trouble with the label scanner, but you can always have the digital copy sent to your email. Great for busy ebay and Amazon sellers.”
“I like this post office. It is much better than going to the New Britain post office (in my humble opinion). I am usually able to get in and out of here quickly.
The staff here is always helpful to me.
There are cheaper options for shipping larger items, but as far as the U.S. Postal Service goes, this place is top notch.”

“Went there with my daughter for a passport appointment. Quick, great service, and seamless! I went to the Avon USPS and they canceled my appointment without calling. At this location, their photo services were down but they called me to let me know with plenty of time for me to go to the CVS across the street beforehand. This is definitely my go to USPS from now on!”
“This has been the most pleasant USPS experience of my life. I have been trying to get my fingerprints done for over month now and six visits to various locations in CT and NY later, this office got it done in minutes with incredible service, good humor and kindness. I wish I got the clerks name to thank him personally, but the nice man working on Monday is the best! Seriously thank you so much.”

“The blonde lady with glasses is pretty nice but the other lady makes me a bit uncomfortable. I try to avoid her as much as I can. I wish they would post shifts because yikes it just feels like she hates everyone and makes you walk on eggshells tbh I try to leave there as fast as I can. Even just being in the line is uncomfortable to be honest because it affects the whole atmosphere of the place. She does her work though without issue! It's just that Id rather avoid her shift so I'd appreciate it if you would let us know who will be in when. Either way I hope that lady gets well soon but once again she works just fine.”
