Cotton Hollow Kitchen
840 Main St, South GlastonburyWe tried this place on a whim, as it was a short drive from home. This place made a fine stop for dinner as a last minute anniversary dinner. For an appetizer we tried the mussels, which were pretty tasty, and it was a good sized portion to split between two.
I tried the steak frites, and my hubbs got the salmon dinner.
He said the succatash was delish and the fish was cooked well, just a tad bit too much of the smoke flavor for his liking.
The steak was cooked as I ordered,and seasoned well in my opinion, and the parmesan truffle fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I did not catch our waiters name but he was polite and even though a little forgetful, he did a fine job taking care of us.
For the two of us it came to just over $100, which is average I feel for dining out these days including an app and some drinks.
Next time I want to try one of their burgers and I hope I can get those fries again haha :)
