“What a find ! When I walked in it reminded of my Grandmothers home , the smell of Italian food. Sorrento's provided all the food for my daughter’s bridal shower and it was amazing. They had all the food ready at the pick up time , gave me instructions and carried it out to the car! Everything was so delicious! Had great gluten options too. I will be back for more!

“This month I chose to go to Trader Joe’s and it was a great experience, but there is something that has bothered me that I have to tell everyone because I don’t know if it will affect our health. But as you can see from the picture, I bought some strawberries and I put them in hot oatmeal, and the color came off the strawberries so immediately I knew that they had some kind of red coloring on it because the oatmeal turned slightly pink Normal strawberries don’t do that! I’m not sure if food coloring has adverse effects on health, but I would think it does. I would prefer if Trader Joe’s would not color the strawberries or any food products anyone else that agrees with me please like this post thank you. Have a great holiday season!?”

“I enjoy running into Dino's for a steak and cheese. This is the store Bassick students been frequenting for decades. It looks the same as it did back then, and it's the hit of nostalgia for me that keeps me coming back. That and the sandwiches.”
“Store is always very clean with a variety of meals for lunch, from the pizza shop to Fried fish. The hot bar is good as well as the prepared foods. Most of the staff are friendly as well.”

Need someone trained who can write on birthday cakes in absence of the bakers. The rating would have been a 1 star if it was purely based on a lady serving in the back who looked irritated with my question on is no one else available to write on the cake. Again generally your staff has been always amazing”

I ordered prepared fried fish from Seafood dept on New Year’s Eve to go with side dish for event. Fish was a hit crispy, fresh, big pieces and tasty. SHOUT OUT TO KEN WORKING IN SEAFOOD DEPT ALSO TOOK MY ORDER. Love Big Y Happy New Year to all the staff.

“I enjoyed my first visit today to this location. I found some good prices on sale items like $7.99 for ribs, $.99 for shredded mozzarella cheese and $5.99 Sushi on Wednesdays. The rest of the grocery prices were higher but comparable to stores in the area. The interactions I had with employees were positive. I had a sandwich made at the deli and assistance at the self checkout. I really enjoyed the clean, well lit store and enjoyed walking down each aisle. Although I wouldn't complete all my grocery shopping here, I would definitely buy some sale and/or specialty items in the future.”

“ShopRite is a awesome clean friendly place fresh meats from the butcher fresh seafood from the seafood department fresh deli meats from the deli department. They rotate there merchandise. Now once stop and shop close in November in Ansonia Connecticut. ShopRite and BJ's wholesale club will be very busy since Ansonia Connecticut don't have a grocery store at all . Wish price chopper would take over where Big Y was that would help out ANSONIA Connecticut tremendously!! With can / bottle returns selling news ?️ papers as well.”

“Great butcher and deli, they do custom cuts and orders if you call reasonably far ahead. The mart has all sorts of products from envelopes to coolers to produce and baked goods. Good frozen section and beer selection.”

“Clean and well staffed check out area but deli could use some help as I took 20mins to attend to 3 customers- had just one person behind the counter at peak hour on a Saturday mid morning.Meat area, specifically the beef section could use some help as the selection is minimal.Produce is fresh and rotated frequently. Beer selection is good for a supermarket with always a sale going on”

“For breakfast it is worth it, the wait can be about 20 minutes. The home fries were very good. The steak wrap was good, but can use more seasonings and my bacon egg and cheese was good. I think only 2 slices of bacon. If I am around the area I’ll stop and eat again.”
