“I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience especially the incredible front desk staff. Yolanda was truly the nicest person ever and completely made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with such warmth and genuine kindness that it instantly felt like we were being welcomed by family rather than checking into a hotel.

She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, hooking us up with accommodations and thoughtful touches that made us feel so taken care of. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and heartfelt hospitality made a huge difference and turned a great stay into an amazing one.

Because of Yolanda, this Marriott stands out in the best possible way. Customer service like this is rare, and she is a true gem. We will absolutely be back and will always remember how welcomed and valued we felt. Highly recommend!”

“I am thrilled to be doing this review. I absolutely loved everything about The Surfside Hotel. We had two room on the first floor ocean side with a walk out patio. It was beautiful. The room had a fun surfer vibe. We were right across from the gym which was great. Spent time in the gym and walking on the beach. It was so nice and quiet and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My family was there for a wedding but it was also my husband and I wedding anniversary so the room was perfect and we had the big king size bed. Loves the kitchen are which was open 24/7 so I can get my hot tea. The little personalized napkins with surfer words and definitions was too cute. Everything about this hotel I loved. Down to the hoodies and shirts you can purchase. I got a cool hoodie and wore it to the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and we sat where we could see the ocean. I plan to stay at The Surfside Hotel whenever I visit Stratford. Thanks so much for a phenomenal stay.Rooms: Large, clean, with a fun surfer vibe and the view was magical.Safety: Extremely safe and had great parking near the entrance.Walkability: Loved walking on the beach.Food & drinks: The restaurant food was delicious.Noteworthy details: Romantic and fun.”

“The restaurant, Dandelion, is amazing. I'm usually skeptical about hotel restaurants and jaded from dining out too much but this place was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. I would highly recommend and is 5/5 stars in itself.

The hotel itself and rooms, I'd put at 4 stars. Nice in itself but sooo fragrant. I couldn't breathe through my mouth without tasting the fragrance. It felt a bit commercial over hospitality with overpriced products for purchase placed everywhere. Execution felt off with the bathroom always freezing and some finishes look damaged despite it being new.”

“Zachary Walzer,Thank you for your response.I just wanted to clarify for the readers so they are not mislead. As I stated in my review I made an error and purchased the same night twice. If I go out to a restaurant and pay for my dinner twice by accident, is it right for the restaurant to say, sorry but the mistake was yours. As an organizational psychologist I see this as a growing trend amongst corporations, the ommission of doing what is right, taking corporate responsibility. In your words the error was corrected, well if by being corrected I paid for the night in error twice, then paid for the additional night, I guess it was corrected, at a deficit to me. As I stated earlier I will not be a patron of this establishment in the future. Not only was the organization unwilling to be accommodative, there was also the propensity to be deceptive as to what the final outcome to the readers of this review. I stayed at the Courtyard for 2 nights, then wanted to extend for an additional night. I used a third party (Expedia) to book and pay for the room. However I chose the day I had already paid at the property. Once I made the error, I recognized it, went to the front desk and informed them. I was told I needed to call Expedia since I paid already for the stay. I contacted Expedia, and they were extremely helpful. However Expedia stated Courtyard was unwilling to waive the penalty, so I would need to pay again for the additional night stay. I guess doing what is right for the customer no longer applies in today's hospitality industry. Needless to say, I will be staying at a different location not part of the Courtyard chain, and I will never stay in a Courtyard hotel again. In addition, I will share my experience as often as I can.E.”

“Small and cozy hotel.

They provide a pretty good hot complimentary breakfast.

I chose this hotel because it's close to the Metro North train station (Fairfield Black Rock), but honestly, there's nothing to do there without a car.

Still, we walked to an authentic pizza place and reached a beautiful small park with a lake and playground.”

“Great experience. Just what I needed. The owner has a little bit of an attitude upon check in but as you stay there, he warms up to you. The area isn't too bad but haven't been out at night. It's on the Stratford side of Stratford Ave. Housekeeping is very nice. The night guys are fantastic when you go to pay for the next day. Only downside is that you can't stay longer than 3 weeks. There l are trains that constantly go by the building but it's not too loud. There's a freight train or 2 and the noise is manageable.”

“The main appeal of this place is the location and cost. Our room was clean but some guests must have smoked something in the hallways. This place is adjacent to I95 so it was easy to get on and off the highway. Will most likely stay again in the future.”

“Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton Connecticut. I travel a lot for work and staying in Connecticut and visit family and friends on Connecticut as well. I have stayed in every hotel in the Shelton area and I can tell you the Hilton Garden Inn by far is the best. It’s the cleanest. The staff is wonderful. I had a disability and they were always there to help me. I never had to worry or be anxious that I would not be able to get my mobility scooter in and out of my car, the hotel is immaculate. The rooms are very nice. The price is extremely reasonable and the staff all the way from the front desk through maintenance the staff and the restaurant the front desk. Everyone is wonderful and very accommodating. It is well worth the money. it is beautiful place to stay and makes you feel like family, especially when you’re traveling alone. You definitely do not feel alone. You feel like you have an army of people to help you and it’s wonderful .”

“Want to check in was told that I could check in between 230 and the person at the desk was very rude and attempted to stab my niece with a pair of scissors we left and she was very rude. She was making prices up. Another person came in and online told him that it was 90,a night and she says 150. And this is when I spoke out so we left anyone out there that thinks about staying at the Motel 6 in Milford on school Street don’t they have very rude staff. They profile people this is what I think.”
