“Great prices for members only. Because of the low price, they are usually crowded. It is common not to get a receipt when you request one at the pump. Some of the buttons at the pump are worn-out, so if you don't have them memorized, you can't answer the 'yes' or 'no' questions.”

“FINAL UPDATE: Store officially to close on Thursday, October 13, 2022 @6:00 pm (see below). Until then, what's left is 75% off.UPDATE: This store is still technically open, however I went in and spoke with a manager today (10/7/22). I was told that while there's no official closing date yet, as of last week, shelves are not being restocked, a lot has been removed, and what's left is being sold at 50% off (up from 25% off last week). Mostly what's left are shelf stable items and some frozen foods, kitchen items, and health care products.Today, 9/28/22, I took my weekly trip to Shoprite for groceries, and I couldn't believe what I saw. There's a sign on the entrance window stating that the store is closing! I'm shocked because I just shopped here last Wednesday and had no clue! I looked it up online, and while many articles mention a closing date of November 11, technically an actual date has not yet been announced. You enter the store, and many of the shelves are completely bare, which is disheartening. They simply had none of the items that I needed ?.As a huge fan of Shoprite for many years, I will definitely miss this store. Thank you for serving Waterbury for 40+ years.”

“This place has gotten substantially better. Staff is helpful and friendly. It has also stepped up in cleaning the store. Still a bit cluttered, but it is way better than a few months ago. Went on a Sunday, and even though there was a good number of customers, the checkout was very quick because they added people as soon as they were able.”
“Needed to find some chicken in a pinch, I'd settle for frozen really. It was so late that all the grocery stores were closed and I was out of town. Google said they were open, I tried my luck, nice lil variety spot, I asked one of the employees and he gave me a good 2 lbs of his personal stash of fresh chicken (I think its for when they do their hot foods)! I was able to come home and make my sick kid chicken soup. This spot came through for me! The next day I made baked chicken and wow it came out amazing. Now I only want to get my chicken from there when in the area.”

“This store is actually name Pueblos. Not 49 Best. Great place great people. Always helpful. Full line of Puerto Rican staples. Very handicap friendly. The gentleman help me and my sister all the time. If you are in a w/c they will get things off the shelves. They have even helped me pick out ripe avocados, ripe watermelon.They have fresh made to order sandwiches, deli meats and cheeses. The meat case is clean, and doesn't smell at all.Give it a check out if you are by Willow and Grove.”
