Owner definitely puts in a lot of effort for good quality food! Whenever in need of medical advise, always make this my first stop! Owner is very knowledgeable and willing to help. “I have been coming to Wayside Market since I was a little kid. I love coming here because it is nostalgic for me and also they carry items such as bacalao, pastella de natas, fresh cheese, fresh produce, chorizo, and more! Much, much, more!They also make delicious homemade food you order to go such as rice, chicken, veggies, fish, and more.The people who work at the market are friendly and they are consistent workers there so they get to really know their customers.The parking lot has plenty of parking however, around the holidays it can be a little tough to find a spot.This place is great to find those international items that you really will have a tough time finding anywhere else. I highly recommend this place!”

“Visiting from MD for a family reunion here in Connecticut. Lots of Deli shops to choose from in this area, decided to choose a smaller local shop for lunch. Cold cut ham sandwich, and Philly steak sub were delicious!!! Also tried the raspberry crumb cake they had, SO good! Will definitely come back next year! 5/5 stars. Prices are fair, 8-9.00 for a Grinder. Baked goods are 2.99. And costumer service is off the charts. Such sweet people!”

“With the volatile prices of food in the last 3 years, LaBonnes has provided fresh produce, dairy and meat selection. Staff is attentive but many items were still marked way above market (Mayo at 7.00 as I recall) which was disappointing. I love the post office services offered by CS and that there are always cashiers available. Pls don't revert to auto checkout which deprives youth of job experience and makes for an impersonal experience. As a clinician, these interactions are needed in our digital world and are important social contacts, albeit brief!”

“Store is modern and clean. Food is crazy good. My favorites are Italian Veggie (pictured), Godfather and Cesar wrap. Whenever they have meatballs in the case I grab a box full and make a great dinner with them even the kiddos love.”

“My go to for inexpensive snacks and quick meals- especially for making charcuterie boards. Yes I still love them despite the wave trying to encourage other boards. All the little extras are best purchased here, whipped cream for coffee, eggs, iced coffee, boba tea, smoked salmon, poke bowls, mozzarella sticks (air fry and thank me later) the list is endless. You never know what will come next with Aldi finds. I'm hoping to someday get a department store sized Aldi to truly experience all the deals I see online. Some stores have a full cosmetics counter which I've yet to see in CT. And I'm dying to try their perfumes which have been quoted as being designer dupes. The managers and staff are typically great. You can ask them if new items are worth purchasing and they get to know you if you frequent the store like I do. I recommend you go early morning if you can during the week. Avoid weekends and after schools lines are typically much longer. Shelves can get empty towards the end of the day too.”

“Four corners is a Middlebury staple. Located smack dab in the middle of town it doesn't get any more convenient for towns people. They have a nice selection of fruits, vegetables, and meats. I haven't tried their seafood section however. They pretty much have everything that you want. Store is pretty compact so you can be in and out in a jiffy. Prices are very competitive as well. I think what will help immensely is if they considered updating their lighting to something just a bit brighter. It's a bit dim inside. Overall it's a great option for us if we need to pick up something quick.”
