“Came in to buy balloons and have them blown up. Busy store with 2 on staff. Ry blew up my balloons. I had a feeling he was new or needed more training with the balloons but in his defense the stock was slim pickings. Ry was truly a doll. Working with what he had and kept saying thank you and I’m sorry. I’m sure customers can be hard on cashiers etc. Ry had that “ eager to please” personality and clearly was doing his best with a positive attitude. While he was young I could tell that he really wants to do a good job!
The store is busy, There really should be a third to help the others out.”
“Had to make sure I posted that the store manager, Jessica, was so kind and helpful...she was right there to help me load up my car with several very large items. She went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get all my things in just one trip.
Really provided great customer service and the staff there are always so friendly too.”
“The staff here are kind and very helpful and welcoming. It is absolutely my favorite place to shop. Garden selection is fabulous and this past winter I got a very high quality pair of Manitobah Mukluks for under $40, Basically wore them every day all winter, even on a trip way up north where it was bitter cold most days and my feet were happy with a pair of wool socks, compression socks and these amazing boots. I also buy most of my tea and coffee, pasta and Bob's Red Mill items there. Good stuff.”

They made us feel very welcome, took great care to get our piercings right, and generously did all they could to help when my sister started to feel sick. I'm so greatful, and definitely recommend!!”

“Good selection of curtains and rugs. Plenty of other home decor items along with a few other finds. Fairly priced inventory with some items found to be aggressively discounted priced from time to time. You can find some nice clothes sometimes too and spend much less. Great place to browse and I usually end up picking up something without breaking the bank”
“The people here is what you call hard workers they are short on staff at times but they manage to get quick at ringing items when super busy even help to saving me money on top of it. Would shop here for quick shopping experience.”
“This place has gotten substantially better. Staff is helpful and friendly. It has also stepped up in cleaning the store. Still a bit cluttered, but it is way better than a few months ago. Went on a Sunday, and even though there was a good number of customers, the checkout was very quick because they added people as soon as they were able.”
“I walked in to buy a drink and a snack. I found a Gem of a store thinking of the people... EGGS are being sold for. Only 369 cents I believe see the picture ive attached for actual price marked by this store. Way to go a store for the people. Get there fast before their gone.”

“The store is usually very neat and tidy. All the staff is very helpful and friendly, at least the night staff because that is the only time I usually go. Personally I'm trying to stop shopping at Dollar general and some stores of that nature. But at least I know I can go in there and be treated courteously by the staff.”
“I am equidistant to this location and another one but I do prefer shopping at the one in Prospect. They have a good selection of food and goods. I use their app to load coupons and then just plug in my phone # at the register. The line usually isn't very long but even when it is it does move quickly which makes it easy if you just need to run in for one or two items. The sales people are helpful.”
“This is hands down the absolute best Dollar General. It's always perfectly clean! The decor isles are always beautifuly staged with very trendy items. Each isle is always stacked with it's intended items. I always get my dog and cat food/treats. I stock up on frozen foods, candy, snacks, and all my toiletries and cleaning supplies..
I also love to browse the decor isles. I often snag an item or two to help decorate for the seasons. I get a lot of planters there and garden decor. They just have really nice things for even nicer prices.
The manager and day staff are great. Super friendly. They remember they're regulars. Night staff is nice too, but not as personable as day shift employees. I feel very lucky to live right up the road, because after discovering this location, I WILL NOT go to any other DG.”

“Many of the workers are very friendly even when customers are rude to them. The store could be kept cleaner but it would help if customers put things back where they got them from. Not just where they decided not to buy it. I feel bad for the workers. Yes they are paid to upkeep the store but they shouldn't have to follow behind people to keep the store clean. Someone said it's the most ghetto store. I agree. But maybe people need to start taking care of the store with some respect. You don't want it to look ghetto then don't treat it ghetto. I don't see other stores looking like this. Why? Because the people don't act like they don't care and just throw things where ever they land. I don't see how the employees can handle picking up after that many people. The only reason I give the store a 4 instead of a 1 is because the workers trying to keep it as they do.”
“Straddles the merchandising boundary between thrift and antique store. Most space is given to really nice furniture, so if you're frustrated with either end of the used-furniture spectrum, this may be your happy medium. Selection of other items feels "curated," so it's A+ for cute unusual finds, not a great source for boring household necessities. Everything is beautifully arranged, store smells good, and staff is super-nice. Pricing on items I checked was about what I expected for level of quality. If you want to take thrifting a friend who dislikes the clamor of ordinary thrifts, this is the store! It's in a cute little New England village-style complex with other stores, including Leo's Restaurant.”

“Always understaffed and lines and these women have to do the best they can to move the line. More people needed. Management help them. They deserve breaks but that leaves one cashier. Nice people there.”
“Great stuff here. I usually buy silk flowers to make arrangements. Their canned goods are very good except their brand of tomato sauces in the can. I mean crushed tomatos and tomato puree. You will be very sorry if you buy these products to make a meat sauce for macaroni. They are filled with the skins of the tomato. I mean I literally gagged. They got stuck on the roof of my mouth and I could not wash them down. It ruined my whole sauce. I had to start all over with a more popular brands. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!”

“This is my neighborhood grocery store. It has almost everything I need. They have ride service if u spend $75 or more. I would not recommend the ride unless they hire a new driver. The driver parked in the mall parking lot and tried kissing me....yuck! I pushed him away from me and got out the van and walked home with my heavy groceries.”
“Employees are very helpful. Whenever I ask about an item or what they always help me by looking for it and also gives me other options related to that item.They always say hi to me and other customers when you walk in. Well...of course if they are busy with customer or in the back putting stuff on shelf, they dont say hi.The reason I gave 4 stars is coz most items are bit pricey for just few items in the package.Store just a bit tight, I wish they could expand their store since now the space next door is vacant used to be medical office, they should expand and put frozen foods and more selections like balloons for bday, etc. Other than that, they've been friendly and helpful”
“I think Golden wok for doing a wonderful job they are excellent in Waterbury 15 minutes to pick the food is hot are deliciousin the pork fried rice has big pieces of pork in it pork fried rice and also the the the boneless spare ribs are excellently done crisp enough sauce to not dry or or dry as you're not dry as shoe leather they are moist and delicious”
“Full 180 from when i shopped here as a teenager. Dollar general is not a one task job, its a multi task job. Definitely prefer this store over Watertown store. They have so much space in here its amazing”

“Dropped in this morning for a few basics and reminded of how grateful we are to have DG here: good selection, varied merchandise, clean shop, GREAT PRICING for important items and I feel safe here. The customers are usually friendly and will chat; we all agree we love the music and vibe! The staff (although there are not enough) are always attentive and helpful. Woodbury has changed so much; in many local businesses now if you are not 'known' you are truly invisible. Not here! Thank you DG for keeping essentials at can-do prices; please hire more folks. 07-12-23”
