“Wonderful hotel in which I have stayed multiple times. Today I called the Sheraton reservation number to confirm an upcoming reservation. After speaking to a helpful young man and waiting on hold while he checked with the hotel, he instructed me to call the hostel desk for an email confirmation. Upon calling the desk I was chastised by a rude woman for “just calling her”. I had never spoken to her before. When I made her aware of this she only dug in on her mistake and continued to debate. I asked for the manager, which she then claimed to be. I hardly think that such a childish, rude and vitriolic woman would be a Sheraton manager. I sincerely hope that someone teachers her the basics of customer service.”

“We enjoyed the room and the bed! We both remarked about the mattress and each of us had a good night's sleep. Our only negative was that the breakfast food selection was not on par with other Choice hotels we have stayed in. For example: no hot water for the oatmeal (instant? What about authentic hot oatmeal?); no Danish; eggs ran out (before 8am). Otherwise, 5* all the way.”

“The rooms were great. It had plenty of space, a comfortable bed, a temperature that wasn't limited, a huge desk, stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher, fridge, etc. They also have a lender locker where you can lend games, cooking supplies etc. The TV stations were a great selection.
The location is great, just a 2-minute drive from the airport.
My only complaint: no complimentary breakfast. I know it's silly but when you're spending a couple of hundred dollars for a room for a few nights, the one thing that helps me go "It's still pricy but at least they offer xyz" is a free hot breakfast.
Overall: I would stay here again, even though they don't have a free hot breakfast.”

“Hotel is showing its age and needs a refresh, but the room was clean. The bed sheets were really crisp. The bathrooms are extremely small. The front desk people during our late check in were very friendly. The manager texted us several times to see how our stay was going. Breakfast was decent.”

“My boyfriend and I had to do a last minute booking of this hotel for CTcon because the original hotel caught fire and closed.
We were pleasantly surprised as the check in and check out process was very quick. When we checked in the person at the desk called the housekeeping staff to make sure our room was clean and ready for us. When we went into the room we could tell it had just been cleaned and restocked as the floors were still wet from being mopped. The bed was very comfortable and the showerhead was great. We also were able to see my boyfriend's car out our window.
It's on the outskirts of Hartford so just make sure you are careful. Don't walk around by yourself and make sure your car is properly locked and protected.”

“Shameka was absolutely a life saver. Had an issue with the air conditioning unit. Was making a loud noise through out the night. I went down to the counter in the morning . Guess what they were right on it. Setting us up with a new room right away. Make the trip to Connecticut so much better. As for we are here on horrible reason for our family. They really handled the situation great and I thank you. Less stress better travel !! Thank you so much”

“A reviewer put it best. Set expectations. It's not a Marriott. However it's clean, it IS being renovated so do bear that in mind. Do not be alarmed when a massive Boeing jet lumbers just over your head. The airport is right next door. It's a decent enough location, lots of shopping and restaurants close by. You will love Mack, the merry front desk manager. I'm relatively confident that this is not his actual name, however it does seem to fit him. My brother and I arrived a little late, about 7pm, and my only eyebrow-raiser was it took Mack a solid five minutes to materialize. Perhaps he was in the restroom, and this was what I assumed. His service was excellent and I felt well respected, even though I booked through a discount site (sometimes other motels and hotels will have a little bit of an attitude when you book through a discount site). Initially, he did innocently assume that we were a couple, and he was gracious enough when we hastily corrected him.
It's a motel, guys. It does have a clean pool. Not too many weirdos and zero crackheads. Recommend.”

“When I traveled to Hartford on a weekly basis, this was my go to place. The staff was always very pleasant and when out of their way to welcome me. Close to a few river walk trails and a 10 minute walk to downtown. I really enjoyed staying there. Sadly, it has closed down.

My only advice is to stand back a foot and emotionally get ready before flushing the toilet. Do not be surprised if it opens a wormhole to another dimension.”
