“Sportsman Outpost in Wolcott is an awesome place for anyone who enjoys hunting and shooting. They always seem to have a great selection of quality hunting ammunition in stock, which is a huge plus when you’re trying to find exactly what you need.
They also have a really nice selection of both new and used firearms, with plenty of different options depending on what you’re looking for. The staff and owner are extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They take the time to actually listen to what you’re looking for and help guide you toward a purchase that makes sense for you, rather than making you feel pressured.
One of the biggest things that stands out is how knowledgeable they are about hunting and hunting equipment. If you have questions, they’re more than willing to share their experience and help you understand your options. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and want their customers to have a good experience.
I highly recommend Sportsman Outpost to anyone looking for hunting ammunition, firearms, or just knowledgeable people who are willing to help. Great selection, great people, and a great local shop. 10/10!”

“I highly recommend this business I reach out to John on Facebook to get the factory sights swapped on my firearm earlier this week .When I arrived at the shop and saw it was closed which was my fault for not calling, i’m assuming due to the holiday weekend which is completely understanding as a small business, luckily I was able to speak to John (Owner)on the phone and he’s said that he was right down the street and would be right over . I was completely shocked that he would take the time out of his schedule even though they were closed , not many businesses especially the owner would do anything like that. Another parent recommended Play It Again Sports confidently, and it did not disappoint. I was apprehensive about buying secondhand gear, but they also carry new gear as well. The best part - a friendly member of the staff who had been playing lacrosse for 20 years made sure we got the right equipment. He was great. Knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. “My wife had went there to get our Giants Crucial Catch Cap embroidered for our Nephew. The first attempt was all screwed up. I had them called lids, spoken to Chev and was very accommodating, on Saturday. He told me to bring it back on Monday to Unstitch and restitch. “This location always have great customer service but this 1 particular day was amazing. Whenever I come in I always greeted and helped. Right before Christmas I had an issue with an order online that after numerous calls was still not resolved. They suggested I go in store. When I arrived, they informed that it was an online issues. With a packed store and 2 associates the manager multitasked and called in with me until the issue was resolved. They're always willing to help, whether it's something in the store I need help with or online. If they don't have it they will help you figure out where you can get it from. If it's something the carry but it's out of stock they're order it for you and have it shipped to their store for free. Can't say enough about this amazing team.”
