The State Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC, offers a quiet and convenient location within walking distance of many popular tourist sites such as the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and the Mall. The hotel features spacious rooms that are well-equipped with amenities like kitchens, refrigerators, stoves, and coffee makers, providing a cozy and comfortable environment for guests. The rooms are generally clean and the staff is friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive experience. Although the hotel is somewhat old-fashioned, with thermostats and decor that suggest it is not modern, it remains a clean and safe place to stay, especially in the daytime when the neighborhood feels less sketchy. The area around the hotel includes nearby restaurants, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, and liquor stores, making it easy to find food and essentials. The hotel’s restaurant inside is good, but it does not serve breakfast, and the bar closes early at 9 p.m. Some concerns include a less appealing atmosphere at night due to homeless people near the nearby liquor store and reports of missing personal belongings, which suggest a need for caution. Despite these issues, many guests appreciate the hotel's location, spacious rooms, and friendly staff, making it a decent choice for visitors exploring Washington, DC.
Always good. Appreciate the friendly staff and great location.

Great location. Firstly, the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are big. The hotel and the interior is old but is maintained well. Right beside GWU.

I went in yesterday and they didn't have any openings. I really needed a room as my mother was in the hospital and I wanted to stay overnight.I told them we were regular customers years ago, but they didn't accommodate me.
