We recently switched to this practice from one that was farther away, and we’re so glad we did. The facility is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We’re very happy with our decision to change vets.”

“I have thw highest level of gratitude for the entire staff! From my intial phone inquiry, scheduling (Next Day), thru my entire visit which, for me is very difficult.
My worries and concerns were all addressed not only in a professional mannor, but in a very custom approach that made my visit so much easier.

The Tech, and Vet were the best I could have asked for. I have visited a few different Vet clinics in Jax, and i do not plan to change again.
Everything was discussed prior and the cost was not a pressure.
The consideration for my finiacial sitution was not something, i left feeling comfortable that everything I needed to have do was done.

“I am very grateful for and to the staff at First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency! The receptionist, Kia( spelling?), the tech, Cole, and the doctor, Nick Vukich are the best!!! My Roody came down with a serious condition after being in town less than 14 hours. I brought him in and was immediately being taken care of in the best warm, and caring welcome. The tech filled our room with same attributes! So caring, so patient , and made me feel at ease. The doctor continued the same comforting and caring service! I cannot express enough how wonderful this place is!

“I called in at 3:35 on a Monday because my 12 yo cat was showing signs no pet owner wants to see. They were able to get me into the office at 4. From the first phone call to the moments I was walking out the door, every employee showed nothing but care and passion for their job. Unfortunately, I left the office with one less family member than when I walked in. It was her time. They provided honest opinions and realistic options for what I could’ve expected had my sweet girl came home with me. They gave me plenty of time (in office per my request) to say my goodbyes and made the process at quick and pain free as possible for the both of us. My fiance and I gave a dog and plan to switch to coastal vet for her care in the future.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this vet! I have to be completely honest, most of the time, I walk into a vet ready not to like them. And I know that's not fair, but way too often vets do not truly care about the animals and just try to guilt you into purchasing everything under the sun. I can tell you, Wonderwood Animal Hospital is not like that! These are some of the most genuine, caring people I've ever met. I've never trusted someone with my animals' care so much. They won me over, times 10! Additionally, their prices are very reasonable and even have some discounts for patients that use their online pharmacy. From start to finish, they were just wonderful. From the receptionist, to the patient coordinator, to the doctor.

“The exotic bird hospital is amazing! Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! I brought a sweet canary with a crooked beak (from my work) and the vet did a wonderful job shaping it up! Also, their prices are fairly reasonable for an exotic vet. They also sell bird toys, perches and food for really good prices! I was able to purchase this cage through making a donation, and adopt the canary (and his buddy) from my work! Thanks again Exotic Bird Hospital”

“I don’t usually write reviews, but Dr. Hirsch is truly fantastic and deserves recognition. He genuinely cares about pets and is exceptionally intelligent, highly experienced, and incredibly thoughtful in his approach.

I was referred to him by a neighbor during an extremely stressful time. My primary vet (who is a close friend) was working limited hours after having a baby, and after an emergency vet visit I was told my dog could have a serious zoonotic infection. I was overwhelmed and scared. Even though we were not his patients, Dr. Hirsch called me that same night, arranged for me to come in promptly, and coordinated an ultrasound.

He stayed in close contact with both me and my primary veterinarian, personally calling me with results and offering calm, rational, expert guidance throughout. His depth of knowledge and clinical judgment were evident at every step, and he was a steady, reassuring voice when I needed it most.

Dr. Hirsch is not only an exceptional veterinarian, but a genuinely wonderful human being. I recommend him without hesitation and am deeply grateful for his care, compassion, and expertise.”

So knowledgeable, thorough, gentle, w/your baby & regardless of the diagnosis she is truthful, no false information. “I LOVE Shoreline Veterinary Hospital. When our previous vet retired, this place was recommended to me. Since then, multiple family members take their dogs here as well. Dr. Wagner and Dr. Taylor have been so helpful with my German Shepard and always go over all options with me. My dog is a rescue and often gets shy around new people, however, she is very comfortable with Kelsey and McKenna which makes vet visits even easier. They always reach back out after an appointment to check in on how my dog is doing and are always accommodating. Their customer service is top notch. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. “We have had all of our many pets cared for by Dr. Kris Kane and staff since 2003. It will be very difficult to locate another practice in comparison to Oceanview that cares for, is as courteous, family oriented, practices in the utmost professionalism and treats you as family. Whether it is at a time of crisis or a routine visit, each occurrence will receive the same respect and down to earth interaction. They simply care and this is reflected in everything they do. We have spent many tears of joy and sadness with them. Your pet is their pet and that is demonstrated in every way you interact. This is reflected even in the fact that the facility is always clean. We have had to visit other facilities during an emergency after hours time and were appalled by the condition of the treatment rooms we were placed in. They will seek out the best options available for your pets. You can simply expect this. The practice values and vision are anchored by the expertise and outstanding commitment Dr. Kane has flawlessly provided in her years of excellent professionalism and dedication to veterinary. If you could place a cost on the thoughtfulness exhibited by each staff member and the precious and revered services rendered, it would be priceless. They are a truly a locally owned and operated beach company.

“I recently moved back to my home country and getting my dogs through the international travel process was a real concern given the short timespan I had. Pablo River Veterinary delivered an OUTSTANDING service from start to finish. They helped me get both of my dogs approved for international travel to Brazil and made a complicated process feel easy. They explained every step clearly, made sure nothing was missed, and were genuinely proactive—especially checking and monitoring whether the Department of Agriculture was operating during the government shutdown and planning around it so there were no surprises. They also didn’t nickel-and-dime me or recommend unnecessary charges. The whole team was professional, thoughtful, and thorough and I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more flawless experience. She took the time to get to know her at our visit and listen to our concerns and then called us back and told us things that she went ahead and did on her own and investigate it to figure out what was going on with her instead of just medicating our dog. “Dr Ramirez is an amazing and compassionate vet. She has taken excellent care of my dogs. Sometimes the staff can be a bit brusk and the facility is showing its age and the need for a deep cleaning.....but the doctors make up for it with compassionate care of your pet.”

“We absolutely love VCA as our primary vet. Everyone is very friendly and take great care of our dog (who is a frequent flyer because he has no sense of self-preservation.) Dr. Darnell has always gone above and beyond, explaining the science in a way we understand - even drawing a graph of Parvo immunity when discussing immunization efficacy! She has also texted us multiple times to follow-up after a visit.We had one issue where our puppy needed to go to an emergency vet after a seizure, and as soon as Dr. Darnell found out from the emergency vet requesting medical records, she reached out to us to make sure everything was okay and asking if there was anything they could do. They've been an invaluable part of our puppy's life and we would recommend them to anyone!”

“Best clinic for my kitties by far. I’ve been bringing my senior cat here for years and I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! All of the staff are extremely nice and treat you like family. You can tell they really care about their patients and aren’t trying to make a quick buck. They always have my kitties’ best interest at heart and are well knowledgeable. The only reason I stopped coming here is because I moved two hours away, but I’m tempted to make that drive every time my kitty needs a vet appointment; they’re just that good!”

“The entire staff at Forever Vets was amazing. We are brand new dog parents to two year old German Shepards and needed to establish care for them. Dr. Labinsky was amazing with our 2 boys. She took the time to answer every single one of my questions in a calm and reassuring manner. The entire staff made us feel so welcome and were so kind to our dogs. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a friendly staff and Vet, as well as Vets who use current literature and long standing evidence to make recommendations. They even called to follow up on how our appointment was. Love this clinic for my 2 dogs!!”
