“Family or Romantic getaway, it checks many boxes. With ocean views and your own balcony, perfect spot to just enjoy the breeze and relax. We had our kids and got a room with a built in nook (small side room) with bunk beds and a second TV. Pool indoor and out so weather changes wont hurt as much. It was nice to eat a home style meal prepared from the kitchenette while watching the waves crash on the beach... However, watch the tides because the water will move up the beach all the way to crashing on the steps of the property leaving no sunbathing space on the beach. Oh, don't forget the stop at the tiki bar, great view and good people.”

“We checked in after hours and the property manager was still on site, he welcomed us and was friendly. We entering the unit, it was very clean and smelled fresh, everything was provided for us . The pool area was clean and was a good size. We enjoyed the morning sunrise!! We had a fantastic time and we will return! This would be a great place for a family to stay and save money on eating out, the full size kitchen had all your needs”

“We enjoyed staying here mostly for the hospitality of the staff. Specifically, the breakfast staff was very accommodating. We do not eat pork and during our stay they made sure that they had turkey sausage as an option for us. It's not luxurious but I would recommend staying here.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Sun Viking Lodge! The property is an older building, so you can definitely tell it has some history. When we first entered the room, there was a slight “old building” smell, which I think was mostly due to the older carpet. I believe replacing the carpet would make a big difference and give the room a fresher feel. Other than that, our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We were actually pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-equipped it was. Having a full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave was a huge plus and made our stay much more convenient. We also really enjoyed the pool area and jacuzzi, and having direct access to the beach was definitely one of our favorite things about the property. Overall, we had a very nice stay and felt that we got a lot for the price. We’re giving it 4 stars mainly because of the older carpet and the smell associated with it. Other than that, we were very happy with our experience. We would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the Daytona Beach area and find a good rate. Thank you for a great stay!”

“Every time I visit Florida for my vacation, I always stay at this hotel. I am very satisfied because the prices are affordable and worth the money. I have recommended many of my friends to stay here, and they were very happy too. The hotel is close to the beach, very clean, and convenient. I am very picky about food, but this hotel has a Vietnamese restaurant with amazing food. I ordered the pho (beef noodle soup), fried rice, egg rolls, spring rolls, and beef steak everything was delicious. The hotel also has the best customer service. Thank you for everything you do to make my family happy and enjoy our vacation!”

I have passed this hotel for years and decided to stay at it since we were going to be in the area for 2 weeks and needed a cheaper place to stay. The people at the front desk were always very nice. The couple that cleaned the room were awesome. The rooms were clean and the beds were cozy. It was nice and quiet. The smell of the actual rooms was a nice tea scent. We would definitely stay there again!”

“Right in the ocean is amazing! There is also a pool and small tiki bar in location which was also great. The drinks are a must try!! The staff we did encounter were very nice and answered all our questions. Reason for not a five star rating is that police were there over 1/2 the days of our seven day trip! One time entrances were blocked and we were not allowed in the building. Elevator 2 was broke entire visit.”

“Michael the manager guy was very friendly. My room was nicer than I expected for the low price, nice tile shower. I got maid service every single day which isn't standard practice anymore. You can walk right across the street to the beach which is awesome. Only bad thing I can say was there was no bath soap in my room when I checked in but Michael got me some right away.”

“Let's be honest, we were more interested in the view than anything else. Rooms were nice enough, microwave was aged (pretty sure we used one like this in college 30 years ago) , phone was not connected to anything, so had to walk to front desk to get enough towels and wash clothes for our family, elevator seemed to be struggling to work, and there is some exposed wiring that showed signs of a hasty remodel. Staff seemed to be preoccupied with work and it seemed to be a bother to ask them for assistance. We all have bad days so maybe it was their turn, just took away from our visit. Buth the view was worth it!”
