“Return policy is very difficult. 20% restocking fee for unopened box. Cannot return if you open the box since no longer “unused” according to business. Purchase at big box retailer (Lowe’s or Home Depot) with more generous refund policy.Update to response: you should not charge a 20% restocking fee for an unopened box. What is the rationale? Restocking fees should be charged for an opened box item since you can no longer sell the product as new (torn box, opened plastic, etc.). Many stores offer an “open box” product at a discount, which is understandable. However, your return policy requires a 20% restocking fee upon purchase regardless of circumstances. This is purely opportunistic.”
