“I lived here for a little over five years and generally had a good experience. The maintenance team, Paul and Jesus, are wonderful. Quick, friendly and hospitable. They are certainly the heart of what makes Berkshire a nice place to live. Noise is the biggest issue with this community. After three years of living here I had a noisy neighbor move in next door who blasted music at all hours of the night (sometimes starting at midnight going until 8 am) which caused my bedroom walls to vibrate and effected my sleep. Unfortunately, even after multiple emails and visits to the management office, and even a phone call with corporate, this noise issue was never resolved which resulted in me not renewing my lease.
The management office does a good job of decorating for the holidays and organizing social events for the residents. The gym is nice too.”
“We’re in our second year at Sunrise Harbor. Having lived in luxury buildings in major cities like Boston and NYC, and in a few other high-end spots here in Fort Lauderdale, we can confidently say that Sunrise Harbor (SRH) is, by far, the best. Its an exceptional, meticulously run community.
The location of Sunrise Harbor is unbeatable. A very short walk from the nicest stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach, offering the ideal balance: close enough for morning runs and beach walks, yet perfectly removed from the heavy tourist traffic. Beyond the ocean, the building is close to a ton of world-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife. For families, SRH is located squarely in the highly Bayview Elementary School district, one of the top-ranked elementary schools in the state.
The building amenities feel less like residential perks and more like a private resort. There are two pools, both decks overlook the marina. The fitness center, tennis courts and saunas are great. Also a strong work out community for all levels(5am Club!!!). And for remote workers the business center is much better than WeWork or other coworking spaces and free. it’s a well designed, well appointed space to do work or take an in person meeting.
The community, amenities, best-in-class vibe of the building all cascades directly from the management team. Meredith, the Building Manager, sets an almost impossible standard for excellence and responsiveness—she’s the engine that keeps this entire machine running. Lilly, who handled our leasing, is genuinely warm, professional, and made the entire move-in process feel incredibly welcoming. She has also been available to help/guide us on a ton of things over the last two years. Every member of the staff—from thel desk team to the valets and the maintenance crew—operates at this level of professionalism and care. This culture of excellence is why the community among the residents is so genuinely friendly.
