“This is not a 5 Star Resort-style hotel, but in its category of business-stay or weekend-stay because you need to be in this area, it is absolutely wonderful. Lots of restaurants and stores, rooms are a little small but very modern and clean. TVs are very big...easy to watch from anywhere in the room, with lots of 120vAC plugs and USB ports by the desk and bed. Staff is very friendly and kind and very willing to help. So its absolutely 5 Star in its class.”

“My fight was pushed forward by 2 hrs so i arrived at JAX at 7:45am instead of 10am, the hotel was kind enough to allow me to check in at 8:30am instead of me having to wait until 4pm. Im very grateful for that and will stay at this hotel anytime i come back to Jacksonville.Staff was great, hotel seems to be in great condition and there is plenty of parking.”

“I have enjoyed my stay at this location. I felt this site stands out as an ideal and best choice for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites chain. I enjoy a daily selection of hot and cold breakfast options, with a delightful variety offered each day. Mr. Michael takes great pride in managing the breakfast service, and both guests and I find him to be a delightful person to interact with. He kindly warmed my milk every day for five consecutive days. Really appreciated. ?❤️ The rooms are consistently tidy and cleaned daily, ensuring a comfortable stay. Moreover, the front desk ladies warmly welcome guests, creating a friendly atmosphere both upon arrival and departure.

Update: I returned last week for another three-night stay, and this place never disappoints. Once again, Mr. Michael warmed my milk for me daily—something the staff at a NOLA location of the same hotel chain had previously declined, suggesting I could warm it in my room instead. “The breakfast was great with longer hours for service, IMO. Good selection of food. Please do better with the home fries or don't serve them, though. King suite had ample space and clean. Door wouldn't lock because of mechanical issue and Jane at front desk was quick to resolve the issue and move me next door. LPT, always make sure door locks before unpacking the entire suitcase & puttingclothes in drawes. Location was convenient. Fresh brew on demand coffee all day, is a nice touch. I'd stay again.”

“The front desk staff is great. I think this hotel has had a management change. I’ve never had these problems before.
I checked in for two nights two separate reservations Saturday night and Sunday night. On the 2nd day my room was never cleaned before the 2nd night even though I paid for two nights. I did report this to the front desk, but nothing happened. I did not get the service for two nights. Sunday morning there was no white milk for the cereal and then again to my surprise on Monday morning, there was no white cereal for the milk. ( FYI there is a little convenience store down the street if you can’t remember to order enough white milk).
I don’t understand why you put cereal out, I guess you eat it dry. The coffee makers have been taken out of the room which is a real big inconvenience.not a normal IHG anymore.”

“Stayed for the night to attend the PBR event. Service was excellent from start to finish. The view from our room was spectacular and we especially appreciated that the huge sliding door opened! Also, we particularly enjoyed the impressive selection of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres at the Regency Club. We opted to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and view rather than the onsite restaurants for dinner. Room service breakfast was simple to order and quick to arrive. The only issue we ran into was with the valet service. It is run by a 3rd party vendor and not the hotel. They are highly disorganized and we found a couple of the staff to be extremely rude. We will absolutely make this our go to lodging anytime we are in Jacksonville for an event.”

“PROS: I love that I was offered an option to check in online and set up a digital key on my phone to get into the room. If you check in this way it also gives you a chance to view the hotel layout and choose your room, which I thought was pretty cool.I received a text message the morning of check in with a very nice welcome message and they asked if there was anything they could do for me before my arrival. I’ve never had a hotel do that before. I felt valued. The TV screen had a welcome message with my name on it. I thought that was pretty neat too ! They also had two complimentary bottles of water for us. The room was clean and I loved the storage space. They have a wall full of hooks which made it easy to hang up bags. I also appreciate that they don’t use carpets in their room as they can be so unhygienic.Breakfast was included and it was great ! They even had extra toppings for pancakes like caramel and chocolate drizzle and sprinkles.The lobby had an inviting feel to it. Lounge area for guests, foosball tables, and a snack and coffee bar.I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.Cons: The hotel door kept getting stuck. When I first arrived I was excited to bypass the front desk and go straight to my room but I ended up needing to go to the front desk to ask for help getting into my room because I thought my digital key wasn’t working. Turns out you just have to push the door extra hard to get it open. It was very difficult opening the door from the inside as well. I had to pull with all my might to yank that thing open. Every single time!!! I only stayed one night so it didn’t bother me much, but for a multiple night stay this might really become annoying.”

“Pretty nice Navy Lodge. One of the nicest ones I have visited throughout the United States. Some rooms have beachfront views and others have views of the base and the swimming pool. I will be coming back again, next time it will be a beachfront view.”

“I had a really good breakfast here and I went to a show on the roof. The rooftop was awesome and they have nice pianos. I didn't stay at the hotel, but the staff were very welcoming to me, nonetheless.”

“I am a frequent visitor & I just love the stay here. For starters it is close to my travel destination for school/work. Also, it’s in a very great area with lots of activities/food places around. The service here is phenomenal!!! Taylor always have fun energy and exceptional quality of service! Toya is also so sweet and makes sure we get what we need! I love staying here because of the breakfast as well, the breakfast potatoes have me full for hours ? The rooms are clean and the upkeep of the hotel is great! I’d 100/10 stay again!!”

“We stayed before and after a cruise. Since we'd been in Fl a few days, we had a few sodas and 2 beers that we didn't get to. They kept it on hand for our return stay--cold, no less! We got to the hotel around 10am after getting off the ship. They checked our bags and then took us to a nearby shopping area where we had lunch and bought a few things for a in room dinner since our flight is very early. Just a few hours later (after being fully occupied the night before) they called me to say the room was ready and they were sending the shuttle for us. I would not hesitate to stay here again--I'd seek it out and would gladly refer others to it. We love the Hyatt Place rooms with a nice seating area, and the beds are always comfortable. I'm so impressed with how accommodating they have been and how welcome they made me feel.”

“I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Butler Blvd, and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel staff was wonderful—everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really made a positive impression.

That said, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. The gym is quite small and could use upgrades. There are only three treadmills, and during our stay one was out of order, which meant waiting for equipment to become available.

It also would have been helpful to know at the time of booking that the parking lot was being repaved. With only one entrance and exit, it made getting in and out challenging—especially when driving a larger 4x4 truck, as we had to either drive onto the curb or over the orange cones to access the lot.

Lastly, the elevator could use some attention. The wall paneling was bowed out, and there was a loud whirring noise when traveling to the upper floors, which was a bit concerning.

Overall, the staff and service were excellent, and with a few updates and better communication, this property could be even better. I would still consider staying here again.”

“The check-in process was fast, and lots of parking was available. Dont get me wrong, you might walk far. Rooms were decent size, and the workers were all nice. Nice kitchenette, but we didn't use the facilities. Breakfast is served from 6:30 am - 9 am. Have your ticket ready as they will ask for it. Overall, it was great accommodations for an overnighter.”

“We were in Jacksonville for a week for the Mayo Clinic. The location was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the kitchen was perfect so we didn't have to dine out for all the meals. There was one night when other guests were being very loud after midnight and the staff were great at handling it quickly. If we end up in Jacksonville again I would absolutely stay here again.”

“This is a truly fantastic hotel. I really love the peaceful atmosphere here. I felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment I arrived. Ideal place to forget about the stresses of daily life. It exceeded all my expectations. The room was not only cozy, quiet and clean but also very comfortable with black out curtains and a spotless and immaculate bathroom. Great free Wi-Fi and TV selection was wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, especially Tina, Gina, Sandy and Liz. Security guard Joseph was super nice and gave me ease of mind. Helped me to my car each time. The location was great. Close to UNF, St. John’s Town Center and many restaurants. Will definitely be back!”
