I gave him the nick name PJ (pop jr) since he doesn’t look old enough to be the pop at the mom and pop business . He was so knowledgeable about the food my puppies need and what would fit my budget .(which is an extremely tight one ) they were both so patient . I’ was on my way into my usual pet store but I’m so glad I decided to take a detour today . I have found a place I can trust and also feel welcomed to. Honestly they give a family kind of vibe .. support our local business at earth pets!

My dogs are my everything — especially Lily, who has always been extremely dramatic when it comes to nail trims. Like, Olympic-level anxiety. I was always told keeping nails short is important for a dog’s comfort, so thinking I was being a good pup mom, I convinced myself the benefits outweighed her temporary panic attacks. Still… it never fully sat right with my heart.
The moment I walked into Mel’s spa, I felt a calm I don’t usually feel in grooming situations. The space was spotless, peaceful, and welcoming — and seeing happy, relaxed pups just casually living their best lives inside instantly put me at ease. Right then and there, I knew in my soul my baby would be okay.
A few minutes later, I came back fully prepared to be tackled at the door by a frantic dog charging at me like a tiny linebacker — nails half done, eyes bulging, trauma unlocked. Because… that’s usually how this goes.
Instead? I was absolutely FLOORED.
Lily was calm. Happy. Chill. Like she’d just come back from a spa retreat instead of a nail trim. I honestly had to check that this was, in fact, my dog.
And then — as if that miracle wasn’t enough — Mel told me Lily only needed three nails trimmed. Something I never would’ve known if she hadn’t been honest. She then told me she wasn’t charging me at all and refused to take anything, even after I insisted and told her her care for my dog was priceless.
That level of integrity, compassion, and genuine love for animals is rare — and it speaks volumes about who Mel is and how she runs her business.
So whether you’re a local, just passing through, or here on vacation like I was — from one dog lover to another — your fur babies are in truly exceptional hands here. I only wish I lived closer so I could keep coming back and supporting this business regularly.

I had tried to cut my dog nail at home and I had by accident cut the quick and she was bleeding and I ran to them. It was first thing when they opened. I was in a panic and the woman was super calm, which helped me be calm. She brought out some powder immediately, took my dog and helped me and helped my dog. The bleeding stopped immediately, and she took over and trimmed my doggie’s nails, but more than that. It was the kindness that they showed and The human connection. I like this place. And I was extremely grateful and never ever will. I attempt to trim my dogs nails on my own again. They always do a really good job on my dogs nail trimming.

From the first phone call to the moments I was walking out the door, every employee showed nothing but care and passion for their job. Unfortunately, I left the office with one less family member than when I walked in. It was her time. They provided honest opinions and realistic options for what I could’ve expected had my sweet girl came home with me. They gave me plenty of time (in office per my request) to say my goodbyes and made the process at quick and pain free as possible for the both of us. My fiance and I gave a dog and plan to switch to coastal vet for her care in the future.

3633 Crown Point Rd, JacksonvilleWe were extremely fortunate to find this vet. My little man was not acting himself and we had 2 different vet offices we were using before finding this vet clinic. Neither of his vets were listening to me just running blood work and telling me he was healthy and fine. When I stumbled on this vet on Google I called and even as a new patient they welcomed up with in a day with a new appointment. They listened to what I had to say and actually put their hands on him and not just run blood work. I was advised to head straight to the ER with him to get MRI. I called back the next day bc the we was inconclusive and a different Dr at this clinic met with me and also actually put her hands on him. Together we reviewed his previous vets reports, the ers reports and she felt something in his stomach area. If this vet just did what everyone else was doing I don't think Devin would be with me today. She was thorough, listened and we weren't just an appointment to her. It's been almost a year and Devin is doing good even with a diagnosis of lymphoma bc these ladies take the time and care even when they are booked to help you. Highly recommend this clinic and staff

I am completely self aware that I am an overly anxious dog owner. I have tons of questions, I ask a lot of follow ups, and I have a long list of concerns a mile long about all things related to my dog. The folks at Bark never made me feel like a bother. They answered each question in-depth and with great assurance.I took my dog there for roughly three years and he always darted excitedly right through the front door and then he always left exhausted from play. If there was an issue, Bark immediately reached out. When I boarded him, if they had any questions related to his feeding, medication, etc. - they’d reach out. If I was running late from work, they’d accommodate. I have lived in a lot of cities and my dog has been in a lot of daycares, and I have never had more peace of mind when dropping Jax off here.I really can’t recommend this place enough and the thing I’ve been dreading the most since leaving Jacksonville is finding a place I’ll trust nearly as much. Really can’t thank everyone who’s worked here and treated our dog like family for all they’ve done for us!

I never worry about their safety or care. My dog Bruce had a minor emergency and Linda was going to drive him to the veterinarian herself but I was able to take him . I felt comfortable enough to take him back for them to care for them while I had a major surgery.
I can’t say enough about every single staff member and so appreciative of them.
They came home today with a beautiful plant and get well card signed with my dogs names ♥️

She had so much separation anxiety when we left for work and would spend the day barking and trying to escape. We loved receiving the detailed report cards with photos. It was so reassuring to see our pets happy and well cared for while we were away. They consistently washed food and water bowls, kept everything tidy, and took great care of our home. When we returned, it honestly felt like we had never left.
We were nervous booking pet sitting for the first time since we typically rely on family, but once Brooke arrived on day one and we received the first report card and photos, our entire family could finally breathe easy knowing our pets and home were in great hands.
We highly recommend Bad to the Bone—especially Brooke and Mackenzie, who cared for and loved our pets as if they were their own.

I’m visiting from New Jersey, and Eva made us feel so welcomed — the kind of hospitality that instantly makes a place memorable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and passionate about the food, which made the entire experience even better.
Everything we ordered was amazing. We had the adobo, arroz caldo, lumpia, pineapple banana bread, peach mango pie, and sago’t gulaman — and every single dish tasted comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Eva mentioned that the jackfruit ice cream served on top of the pineapple banana bread was homemade, and honestly, that detail alone says so much about the love put into the food here.
Usually I’m the person who takes photos of everything before eating, but the food looked so good that we all immediately dug in before even thinking about it. That probably says more than any picture could.
The aesthetic of the restaurant is also beautiful — cozy, vibrant, and thoughtfully put together without feeling overdone. It feels like one of those places you stumble upon once and then keep thinking about long after.

1505 N Main St, JacksonvilleMy husband and I visited Artessence for the first time today and LOVED IT!!! We ordered a mocha, lavender latte, quesadilla and avocado toast and dead serious it’s some of the best coffee and food that we’ve had.
Also the vibe is super cool and the owners were really friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend :)

This artsy black-owned, women’s business is one small example of the diverse downtown business atmosphere in Jax. Just a brief walk from historic LaVilla, Brooklyn, the Cathedral District or your business office. My absolute favorite is their Key Lime pie. We also tried their Oreo, Strawberry and the espresso pie (which was recommended). Anytime you are in proximity of this shop, their window is open! Or catch them at the RAM (Riverside Arts Market) on Saturdays.

So thick and creamy. Pro tip, keep it simple on the base and go hard on the toppings if you like a lot of toppings. But it’s delicious enough to just get the sweet cream and have it plain! Such a cute shop 10/5 stars

But the cappuccino was not it & it wasn’t filled to the top like they all usually are - it was half way when I got it. It had an odd taste. Small simple coffee shop. I wouldn’t go back though. It did seem clean overall.

I’m so impressed with how caring the staff was in learning my pup’s unique needs and making sure to upload pictures throughout her playday so I could stay updated. The pricing is fantastic, and the hours are even better. My pup came home completely worn out in the best way. 10/10 recommend taking your dog to Kanine Social!

They ate naturally docile, gentle, and eager to please which the racing industry takes full advantage of. If you are ready for a pet in your life, the greyhound is a very good choice. As mentioned before, Greyhounds are sensitive, and those retired or rescued from the racing industry may need a little extra tender loving care which will be returned to the caregiver threefold.

I used to be in the vet industry and have seen these types of facilities. You'd be lucky to get your pet's cremains back. Jimmy was compassionate over the phone and flexible with scheduling.
