Our older Senior Nova Scotia Duck Toller has limited mobility and strength in his shoulder girdle. He now is in pain being brushed. So together we figured out a plan to blow the fur out, do nails and get a bath. He looks great and not stressed! Danny is all about the comfort of less fur, not slipping vs being runway ready like his little sister. Today’s groom resulted in 2-3 vacuums full of old fur!

She is absurdly intelligent but explains things in a way anyone can understand. She also is kind and has always treated my cats as individuals, rather than as a list of diagnoses/ailments. She has the ideal balance of tact and candor when there are tough discussions to be had and tough decisions to be made. All the people she has hired — vet techs as well as front office team members — are smart, compassionate, patient, and they return calls when they say they will. Dr. Mersereau and her team have routinely taken the time to educate me about my cats and point out things I may not have noticed that are important and shouldn’t be ignored. There is not a single negative thing I can think of about the Cat Clinic of Fernandina. I feel so fortunate to live in close proximity to this clinic so that my cats have been able to receive their medical care from Dr. Mersereau and her team.

The inside is quite large, nice clean bathrooms, and there is outdoor seating under a truly large oak on picnic tables in the parking lot. Quite pleasant. Lot of Families here and dogs. They also have food but we did not eat. The staff was very friendly.

Happy hour starts early with 2$ beers and 5$ Run Punch our Margaritas! Highly recommend you stop by!

The food is excellent, they have a small cooled indoor eat space and a huge outdoor courtyard. Dogs are welcome, parking on 3rd Street a breeze. They even have a cat in residence, Bartholomew! Highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich with home made pimento cheese, absolutely delicious! The trio salad with tuna, chicken and pimento cheese on lettuce with tomato and boiled egg is a lovely plate. We also had a chance to taste the shrimp salad which was also delicious. The salads tasted just like my mom had made them! Everyone is quite friendly, Allison greeted us with a big hello, as did everyone. A really nice reasonably priced lunch in a very nice atmosphere! Well done!!

Adoption was very easy and inexpensive. Cat had already been spade had shots and was microchipped. Very good experience. She's taken to my husband but I hope to win her over in time!
