“Springfield neighborhood almost lost this USPS branch but a petition to keep it open, less a few hours and personnel was a trade-off this neighborhood couldn't afford lose. I'm glad it's open and Ms. Donna is the treasure that's keeps it running as best she can with what the USPS gives her to work with, and that's not much.”

“Yes, this is the main branch of the post office in downtown Jacksonville. Very large. Very spacious and actually not as backed up as most other post offices like Dunn avenue, lake Forest area and stuff like those. I actually don't mind driving the extra mileage for the experience. “Built like a medieval castle with a moat, somewhat scarred from battle, you walk in to see a long line and your heart sinks. But then you realize this place is run like a super efficient war zone ER. I’ve found almost all post offices in Jax to be sub-standard but this location rises above. All the workers i’ve met are professional and (this is huge) take your issue as if it’s their own. From a package delayed for my wedding to dealing with Xfinity’s weird thing about “proper address”, I’ve never had a bad experience. Had one postal employee call me personally to make sure I got my package. Even with the high volume of customers they always seem to be happy and polite to each one.”

I never got her name .....she's the one with the lashes. Girl, you are so incredibly fine id put up with everyone else in the place treating me like a dog the whole time, they could even beat my a** the whole time and I'd still go to this location just to be in your presence for a few min. “I have bad initial experience and very excellent service from another officer from front desk.
My important mail had my old address and was in forwarding queue.
Unable to reach PO on call.
Went the same day to post office with in 20 mins from the status change, front desk lady told me it’s processing in different facility and it’s in system pile they don have access etc and can not hold the mail in the post office. Even when I requested it was an important mail and she was not sure if it will be forwarded to my new address. Just stated it will b forwarded.
I Read online that mails won’t leave the same post office same day or it will stay for couple of hrs atleast
Visited again at 3:30pm and spoke to Patil Priya as soon I provided the jist of my request.He quickly checked the status of my mail mentioned that it is still in the post van and will b sorted later on the same day from the postman in the post office and he will put in a request to hold the package in the post office.
He took my contact details and called me the next day when my mail was available for pick up. I really appreciate his knowledge and professionalism and grateful for his service.”
“I hate the post office only second to the DMV. Though this post office and its staff treated my 70 yr old mother with kindness and helped her with the services she needed. They were patient with her and gave her thorough instructions with what she needed. Any one treating elders and having patients with their needs deserves 5 stars and a pat on the back. “I was returning a scammy surround sound speaker system which was bulky for one person to carry. They were very kind to help me bring it from my vehicle.
Now it's tax time, I'll be mailing my taxes there as well. I hardly ever need extra services with my mail but, so far, 2026 has been a busy one. I'm thankful to have them nearby!”
