“A well worn hotel, but worth it. This hotel is definitely a throw back to old style FL. Rooms are large, with 2 beds (sized larger than a full, but smaller than a queen) and 1 bath with shower in most rooms. A good size kitchen with sink, microwave, toaster, coffe maker, fridge and freezer. A smattering of plates, cups, glasses, silverware and other basic necessities make it easy to bring your own breakfast and lunch supplies. Beds are firm, but okay. The large pool is heated, and has a shower and foot wash spigot. 3 of the rooms have their own small porch with table and chairs right on the beach, while the other half have either parking lot or pool views.Dated and worn, but at a fraction of the cost of most other hotels in the area it makes this a good choice.Nearby activities: Parks, fishing, beaches, restaurants, biking, water sports like windsurfing, winging and kiting.”

We checked in a few days ago and experienced a minor issue with our online booking, but Fritzner resolved it promptly the next day and offered us the best possible option for our family. Pros
- large spacious rooms. Furniture is modern and tasteful
- large bathrooms with full bath
- private beach and good range of pools including adult only
- decent food options and great selection of cocktails

Cons
- this is a very loud hotel. The top floor restaurant and pool area is ridiculously loud. If you will not be able to hear the person across the table or your own music
- service is pretty mediocre at this price point. Staff are very courteous but sometimes disinterested
- the beach is a missed opportunity to offer luxury - - the chairs are rammed together. Sun loungers are basic plastic chairs. It is however pretty quiet on the beach
- there are not enough elevators - on some occasions we had to wait over 5 minutes for one”

“I came here for a work conference. The hotel was beautiful from the smell as soon as walked in, to the cleanliness and the helpful staff. The conference rooms were huge and the staff helping with the conference were amazing. I gave some dietary restrictions and they were so kind and accommodating. They brought me special meals whenever I wasn’t able to eat anything off the conference menu.

The hotel is on Collins Ave. - Close to Ocean drive. There are numerous restaurants and shops around the great location.

“I went to dinner as a couple. What caught my attention the most was the floral atmosphere they have throughout the hotel and reception. Perfect harmony of colors and design of floral arrangements. Very good taste and congratulations! You breathe authentic luxury due to the care and affection of the natural flowers. We will return!”

All the staff got out of their way to make sure you have everything you want, and l can't recommend The Setai highly enough!! “What an awesome stay! We especially enjoyed the daily complimentary activities (smoothies, sangrias, etc) and happy hours. The bartender is always so cheerful which lights up our day everyday.
The location is excellent! It’s right next to the beach and we walk out every day for lunch and dinner spots nearby.
The room is very clean with good sound proof and nice layout. There’s even a beach cart in the room with two chairs and an umbrella. We enjoyed our afternoon on the beach with the cart carrying everything.
All the staff is friendly and helpful. Would love to come back here in the future.

“The hotel is located in beautiful Coral Gables in a historic building.
Rooms are very spacious and are well equipped with everything including the coffee machine.
You can get your complementary bottle of water at Reception or use the water in the room which they charge 8 dollars for.
We had two rooms on the second floor of the hotel, but because the hotel is located on top of an office building or something it felt like we were on the sixth floor or higher thus we had a great view of Miami skyline from our balcony
Upon our arrival, we were offered vouchers for complimentary breakfast and each guest was offered a 25 dollar worth voucher to use either for room service or to get extras at breakfast. They also offer a complementary cocktail which is their signature citrus Sangria cocktail.
Speaking about the facilities - the hotel has a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace with great views of the Miracle Mile. Both Jacuzzi and the pool are heated and open till 21:00 so we had an opportunity to relax after long days of sightseeing.
Overall I would say everything was great, but when I asked for an extra bathroom because there was only one bathroom in our room, unfortunately, they promised to provide it but never did.

Nearby activities: There is a stop of Coral Gables Trolley literally in front of the hotel so in case you did not ride this historic attraction in Miami you can catch up here. It is free for everyone

Walkability: The town of clCoral Gables has everything you need and the hotel ins located in the heart of it - overlooking the Miracle Mile - perfect for nice walks before or after dinner

“The best of the best. Every time I have been to Faena for a show, the spa or even the beach it has been a wonderful experience. The bartenders Gabriel and Joseph (at the living room) never fail to make delightful drinks, the beach employees are wonderful at making us feel welcomed and making sure we have everything we need, specially Dwi and Agusto.Tyler and Wagner at guest services go above and beyond each time! Truly a magical experience. 10/10 recommend.”

“We really liked our 1 bedroom suite. We had a balcony, which was nice. We knew we had a full kitchen going into the trip, but were pleasantly surprised to see it was pretty well stocked with the essentials to be able to cook/eat while there. The valet was seamless. We would call for our car in the room and walk down and most times it was sitting there waiting for us. 24 hour valet too, which was nice for our early mornings and late nights. No complaints, and we would likely stay here again if we decide to come back.”

Repairs are always done professionally with high standards of care and everything is always explained in detail. “Our stay was perfect! Super clean room, comfortable bed, great shower, with shampoo and conditioner, thankful for the shuttle, the driver was great, getting to the shuttle at the Miami Airport was CRAZY! alot of traffic, we had a good driver that new what he was doing, we were also provided with a ride to the cruise port, breakfast was good, basic eggs, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal ect.... Great stay for us, wouldn't stay anywhere else but Hampton (Hilton)”

“We celebrated our anniversary here last weekend, and it was one of the most thoughtful and memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. I’ve been looking forward to writing this review ever since we returned. Our experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived.

This was our first stay, and the recent renovation is truly impressive. The property is beautiful, our room was outstanding, and every restaurant we visited exceeded expectations. But what truly made our anniversary unforgettable was the staff.

Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Gus gave us a warm welcome and helped with transportation, Francine at the front desk checked us in and surprised us with an anniversary card and balloon display in our room, Robert from concierge was incredibly helpful, Brandon at Dune was an outstanding and attentive server, Christina at Paralia was very kind and friendly and treated us to a lovely anniversary dessert, and Josh at the beach took excellent care of us throughout our stay.

The highlight of our staff experience was Karen, the hostess at Dune. She went far beyond what we could have imagined—welcoming us warmly, sharing details about the resorts restaurants, bringing champagne to toast our anniversary, and chatting with us personally and being so warm, welcoming and friendly overall. Before we left for the beach, she took a photo of us. The next day, as we stopped by to thank her and say goodbye before checking out, she surprised us with a framed print of that photo and a handwritten anniversary card. It was one of the most thoughtful gestures we’ve ever experienced while traveling.

Each year we choose a new romantic getaway in Florida, but after this experience, it will be very difficult not to return. This resort—and especially its extraordinary staff—made our anniversary truly unforgettable.”

“Very posh public spaces with an old-school glamour. The location is prime, of course, and is tucked away off of Collins Ave behind lush foliage. The lobby boasts gold-leafed Egyptian-like colums, in fact there is gold everywhere, and the walls boast some very interesting murals.

The front staff was very nice - excluding the valet/doorman. It is not a club - it is a luxury hotel.

The drinks were very good and should be at those pricepoints, and the pool/tiki area is awesome. Will go back to eat.
