Book Stores in Lakeland, FL

“Super cool bookstore! I visited during a bookstore crawl event so it was super busy with a line for the cashier all the way out the door. It was still easy to find free street parking right next to it. The house is nicely organized with each room holding different genres. It’s charming and cozy. They invited a local tea and treats pop up (Love at First Cookie) which paired deliciously with browsing all the shelves.”

“Very sweet and kind elderly couple own and run the store. The kind of people who want to adopt you and be your honorary grandparents. They will turn their store upside-down to find what you want. It is quite jam-packed, but very organized.”

“The workers were kind and knowledgeable about not only the books but the places in the store they are located. I asked for one specific book and 3 workers helped me find it then took time to have a great conversation with me. Highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a good read and a staff that genuinely enjoy their job.”

“I was visiting Lakeland and was checking out locally owned bookstores when I came across Unbound Bookery. Sandy, the owner, is a super friendly person and though her book room may be small, the books she has are treasures. I bought a very nice edition of Native Son there. Go see Sandy's collection. It's great!”

“My four years spent at South Eastern Bible College finishing in 1971 with a major in Bible were some of the best years of my life. The Teachers were excellent! Their example of passion for Jesus continues to impact my life even to this day. I pray that the Lord will continue to impact the lives of the students who will be attending.at SEU until the Lord returns.”

“The Polk Bookstore has a helpful crew of employees. They are well aware of the systems and college needs. In the bookstore itself, there are a number of nick nacks along with a few rows of books. It always remains relatively quiet. The only downside is the lack of in-store books for purchase. This is to be expected with its quaint size of course. Overall, excellent service and would recommend to any new college student at Polk. They genuinely care about helping you out.”
