“I love the owners of this store. If there is a problem, Nick, handles is swiftly and to your satisfaction. They are a family owned business, so they like to keep up a repertoire with their customers. Stick around and they will know you by your name, and remember the items you usually purchase. They really make you feel welcomed and relaxed. They like to joke around and will probably send you out the door laughing, with a brighter day. They have a new chicken bar being installed and I will update you once I try it. It sounds like it will be great. We all know Woodlands is, and they are the same owners as the new BP in Keystone Heights. If you're in the area definitely stop here. It's worth it and you won't have to wait in line forever like at Gizmo.”

“Only stopped for gas. Good pumps. Clean area. Windshield washing stations were clean and they have a king handle squeegee which is a plus. No issues other than higher than other areas but it is what it is. Easy access in and out.”

“My first experience with Love’s Travel Stop. Amazing. I can’t say enough positive things about my first experience. Even had a good Samaritan pay for my shower. I was in line and telling the cashier. This was my first visit and I wasn’t sure what to do and the young man Chris behind me. Said here give her my shower credit. That was the beginning of a wonderful experience. I had a nice hot shower. The bathroom was meticulously clean and they provided a towel a washcloth and a rug. Imagine that. I had a great cup of coffee. And let’s not forget all the friendly, helpful staff and a great price on gas. Probably the best in the area . now I’m ready to hit the road.”

“Sorry. I mistakenly gave a lower review. Love my BP crew. My early morning gal buddy is the best. She can out service anyone and is super efficient, friendly, and looks out for her customers. I'll support a family operated business in my hometown. Love you guys.”

“High prices and the lady with the blonde hair the older lady she’s always gossiping about someone or a customer. I hear her every time I go in there sad but true makes me wonder what she says about me when I walk out the door to other customers or employees.”

“It's great to have a place with 1-K kerosene on tap, been able to used my kerosene heater to stay toasty in these subfreezing days and save the electricity for the AI overlords. Huzzah!”

“This is the best place to get fuel in Hawthorne and truly trust you're getting "non-water down" premium aka regular like some other gas stations in the area. Also I have yet to get Diesel with water in the tank. Jackson's is the place to fill up and the only place I will fill up my vehicle.”

“This is one of the better Amtrak stations I've seen. Very reminiscent of the old seaboard coast line days! I didn't actually catch a train (or bus) out of here but I did some railfanning and I loved the location, the inside area is clean, and feels very vintage! Had clean bathrooms, Just an awesome station to watch trains from.”

“We got gas here (filled up from empty) and I had a very small 6 pack cooler and wanted some ice but didn’t need a whole bag. They allowed me to get ice in a large cup for 75 cents, but I just gave them a dollar and said keep the change.”

“Gave it 4 stars only because you have to go inside to get a gas receipt, which makes me not want to buy anything in there. Plus a few pump screens don't work. Tried one and had to go to another. It didnt work so I left. Raceway, a mile away, usually has the same price gas.”

“Parking for about 10 trucks, though 2-3 spots are often taken by dropped trailers. Overnight parking is allowed, and the layout makes access easy for big rigs. By 9:30 PM, the lot is usually about half full. There’s Wi-Fi available, but no shower facilities. On-site food is limited to snacks, but if you’re willing to walk 5-7 minutes, you’ve got The Wrap Shack and Dianne's Old Time Barbeque as solid options.”

“We have the pleasure of having this as our local gas station. The staff is courteous and friendly. The location is clean and well-maintained. The hot and cold items are perfect for grab and go when you're on the way to anywhere with very reasonable pricing.”

“This store is ALWAYS clean and well lit. I can't recall ever seeing any trash scattered around the Shell station property. I couldn't say the same of the now defunct marsupial across the street (aka Kangaroo). I really wish people would stop throwing crap out of their cars into parking lots. I'd like to feed those littering people to the palmetto bugs! Owner Danny (& family) have always been super friendly and accommodating while delivering exceptional value considering the location & type of business. I always feel better about any business transaction when the people I'm dealing with are appreciative and treating me more like a guest (no not another annoying customer!) Contrary to popular belief, there's very little profit selling fuel (for the small business owners anyway) , maybe none when a credit card is used. It can trash a small business's cash flow too. The gas is consistently cheaper than in Gainesville, the quality is very good ( I used to test gasoline daily). I never found more than 5% ethanol content in the 87 octane fuel, the specific gravity always dead on (indicative of being fresh and clean). The owners set a great example of how to succeed; offer and deliver goods at fair prices, & treat the customers as well or better than you'd expect to be treated. This is why they survived and the corporate store across the street bled out financially.”

“Been coming into this gas station for years 30+ owner is a good person. If you want a fancy bathroom go elsewhere. Locals do spend time inside playing fishtables and other machines he has. Its one of our hawthorne gas stations that gets the usual customer's & ones traveling through our small town.”
