“I actually like this Publix more than newer ones. Firstly though...the parking lot is a nightmare! It is in a strip mall and very messy to navigate. However, although it does not have self-checkout, it has items other Publix' do not have.”
“Whole Foods Market recently moved their store from an old renovated Publix supermarket to a brand new store on South Dixie Highway and Southwest 104th Street.
The new store is absolutely gorgeous! It is immaculately clean, beautifully organized, And the displays are most attractive.
There is an infinitely wide variety of food choices from pre-packaged Foods, two meats and fish, to an in-store Bakery with fresh baked goods, and hot ready to go meals.
As with most natural food markets, the prices are going to be higher then your average supermarket chain store.
But it is well worth the extra money because you are getting fresh, organic food.
Give them a try, and be sure to sample some of their fresh baked muffins. They are to die for!
UPDATE 10/2021:. My only complaint is about the parking. The lot that houses this store as well as Target is huge. However, the area nearest to Whole Foods is very small and always crowded. The best time to get there is when the store opens. It's a shame that during busy times, you may have a sizable walk to get to the store from your parking spot. Also, handicapped parking is not very generous in number.
UPDATE 08/04/23
I went today to get a brisket. The butcher custom cut a 6 pound brisket (flat cut). The price was $1 cheaper than the local grocery store chain, and this beef has been humanely raised and has no antibiotics and other chemicals on traditional beef. It was a win!

I was in the deli department today and was thoroughly impressed at the fact that I saw an employee with a temperature probe tempting at intervals along the entire food case and recording the temps on a smartphone device. I mentioned it to the employee serving me and she said that they regularly test the temps of the food cases several times a day. I have never seen this at my local Publix and was so impressed that Whole Foods takes food safety so seriously. It gives me confidence that whatever I purchase is going to be safe to eat and I'm taking very little risk. IMPRESSIVE!”
“I recently reached out to Sprouts about a product I had an issue with, and the general manager (I believe his name was Austin) went above and beyond to help me resolve it, even though the problem turned out to be on the manufacturing side.
I sincerely appreciated Austin's professionalism and genuine willingness to help. I can sometimes be a tough critic, but I left the store impressed by the level of care and service I received. Great service is sometimes tough to find nowadays, but this Sprouts really shines in that category.
I look forward to continuing to shop at the Kendall Sprouts location, knowing that the team stands behind their customers. Thank you again, Austin, for making the experience such a positive one!”

Carlos Daniel is an extraordinary person in his service and quality craftmanship, along with his lady coworkers. They're just all great and i've forgotten their names, unfortunately.
Overall a consistently pleasing place to shop, considering their employees good attitudes and willingness to help!”

Portions are generous, and I really appreciate that the containers list the ingredients and calories. I tried the sweet potatoes and baked sweet plantains on the side, and both were amazing. The place is spotless, and I enjoyed meeting the owner. This will definitely be my go-to spot for healthy meals!”

“I just called and spoke to the owner. They no longer have a store front/restaurant but they are developing a catalog and expanding their online store. They also work out of their house/warehouse (?) selling items (they keep inventory there), and have meditation circles and classes there. She seemed very cool and casual, and I think I'll try dropping by their address when I'm in the area on a weekday...their house is about 10 blocks from the address listed here. She seemed to welcome the idea of having customers visit and apparently they have a good amount of regular customers that do.”
