“The best potato samosas in South Florida and beyond. $1.50 buys you a bite of bliss. Just the right amount of spices and spiciness. You will know what I mean when you have your first bite. I go on weekly bases there. The owner is always present and hard working. He knows how to make customers feel welcome. I call it the diamond in the rough. It might not look fancy, since this is a small place with limited storage, but it’s kept clean. There are always happy customers coming and going. You may call ahead and order the samosas, but it’s not a must, they are constantly replenished throughout the day. Always warm. He sells over 1000 pieces per day. I have been buying goods and samosa for over 16 years there. Flush it down with a Mexican cain-sugar Cola. Ahhh! I am a Chef, whom worked around the globe and has some ideas how this type of food should taste. A warm, golden, flavorful crust, a gentle bite into the moist, warm center with notes of: cumin, coriander, turmeric and more. The potatoes have a good bite to them. JUST RIGHT! The owner supplies many airlines with goods from India and Pakistan. People from central to South America purchase in large quantities items from him. He also get request ls from the Fountain Blue Hotel and other places to deliver the samosas there. I love this place! It’s closed on Monday! Otherwise stop by from 11am until 7pm.”

Those who have been there a while shopping get blocked in by those who are just getting there. And that can lead to an unsafe situation. I put it in their veggie capsules they have available in store. I take it instead of Advil during my period and when I have a headache, and poof no pain. It also gives me great energy and mood. I also love their organic local jujube fruit, and organic japanese sweet potatoes. Their purple garlic is amazing too! I’ve also been taking their raw unfiltered Florida fermented turmeric honey and it has done wonders for my sinuses and allergies. They have such an eclectic collection here. “This is a great little hidden gem, especially if you’re looking for authentic Colombian products. It’s a small store that also serves as a butcher shop and specialty market, so walking in really feels like stepping into a little store in Colombia. They carry a nice selection of imported Colombian products that can be hard to find elsewhere. Everything we’ve tried has been really good, and the staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. They make you feel welcome every time you visit. The only downside is that some of the products are a bit overpriced. There are definitely other places around Miami where you can find certain Colombian items for less. That said, if you’re in the area or you’re craving something specific, it’s a convenient stop with quality products. The one thing that keeps us coming back is their Colombian chorizo. It is absolutely outstanding and, in our opinion, one of the best we’ve had. They use a generous amount of cilantro, which gives it a unique flavor that really sets it apart from other chorizos. It’s become a family favorite, and honestly, we’ll make the drive just to stock up on it. If you haven’t tried their chorizo yet, I highly recommend it. “I really like this Trader Joe’s location in Midtown Miami. The store is clean, well organized, and has a great selection of products you don’t usually find at regular supermarkets. Their snacks, frozen foods, and specialty items are some of the best parts of shopping here. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the checkout process is usually fast even when the store is busy. Prices are also very reasonable considering the quality of the products. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, especially during busy hours, and parking can be a bit frustrating. Some popular items also disappear quickly, so you have to get lucky sometimes. Overall, it’s one of my favorite places to grab groceries in Midtown. Great products, good prices, and a much better shopping experience than many larger supermarkets.”

“Whole Foods Market recently moved their store from an old renovated Publix supermarket to a brand new store on South Dixie Highway and Southwest 104th Street. The new store is absolutely gorgeous! It is immaculately clean, beautifully organized, And the displays are most attractive. There is an infinitely wide variety of food choices from pre-packaged Foods, two meats and fish, to an in-store Bakery with fresh baked goods, and hot ready to go meals. As with most natural food markets, the prices are going to be higher then your average supermarket chain store. But it is well worth the extra money because you are getting fresh, organic food. Give them a try, and be sure to sample some of their fresh baked muffins. They are to die for! UPDATE 10/2021:. My only complaint is about the parking. The lot that houses this store as well as Target is huge. However, the area nearest to Whole Foods is very small and always crowded. The best time to get there is when the store opens. It's a shame that during busy times, you may have a sizable walk to get to the store from your parking spot. Also, handicapped parking is not very generous in number. UPDATE 08/04/23 I went today to get a brisket. The butcher custom cut a 6 pound brisket (flat cut). The price was $1 cheaper than the local grocery store chain, and this beef has been humanely raised and has no antibiotics and other chemicals on traditional beef. It was a win! UPDATE 06/10/26 I was in the deli department today and was thoroughly impressed at the fact that I saw an employee with a temperature probe tempting at intervals along the entire food case and recording the temps on a smartphone device. I mentioned it to the employee serving me and she said that they regularly test the temps of the food cases several times a day. I have never seen this at my local Publix and was so impressed that Whole Foods takes food safety so seriously. It gives me confidence that whatever I purchase is going to be safe to eat and I'm taking very little risk. IMPRESSIVE!”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
