Wasn’t told online that I had to leave an excessively large deposit that would not be returned to my Credit Card for several business days

My car suddenly broke down and this was the only rental place around that had a car ready to go and wasn't going to charge me more than the mechanic. I'll be using them again in the future, but hopefully not for a while.
