“This is the letter that I just sent to the Corporate Headquarters of Home Depot, and justifiably so; Dear Mr. Ted Decker President & Chief Executive Officer, 05/18/22 The reason for this letter is based on the most notable customer experience that we've had to date, and because it was so supremely over the top, we just had to take the time and give credit where credit is due. My husband and I are in our 70's so we've been around for quite a while, and because we value good customer service, we look for these attributes. We met Philip G, in the garden section yesterday, 05/19/22 at the Ocala Florida store as he was in the middle of something, but My husband Perry and I were so baffled about what we needed and I'm sure it showed on our faces so Philip made an abrupt stop and asked if he could help us. We were impressed with that first off because many times, we've seen associates just walk by as though we were invisible. Philip is kind, caring, supremely knowledgeable, perfectly professional, friendly, and embodies the most ethical core vales that we've seen in very, very long time. Phillip is not only a valuable employee to Home Depot, but he is a coveted team player to his peers. We know this by just watching and listening. If we didn't know any better we would have thought that Philip was a part owner of Home Depot because of his intense desire to not only help us, but to educate us giving us the complete package, and providing an extra value. It was like he had this ethical obligation to make sure that when we walked away, all questions were answered, and our money was well spent, and our project would be a Home Depot success! We shared that our lawn was in bad condition, and we need to know what to do. It was clear that we didn't know what we were doing because we were even in the wrong area. Philp conducted our very own workshop because he taught us what to use and what not to use and why. He explained everything in layman's terms, so that we could understand completely and also wanted to know if there was anything else that we were concerned about. Philip explained what to look for and how to treat it. This was major to us because we want to make sure that our spending is going to make a difference, and not just both wasted effort and wasted money. After all fertilizer has gone up substantially, and we are on a fixed budget. Philip also saved us money by teaching us the right way to get this project competed by using the right products, and without having to hire someone to do it for us. We are all living in a very different, and rather scary time in our Nations history, but to meet someone that calms your fears, and makes you feel like you are so valued, was not only refreshing, but we walked away thinking, we can't wait to return for another phenomenal experience and learning session from Philip. We feel so confident that we can do this project, and win accolades of our neighbors as well. Phillip is an extraordinary man with a gift of a caring and discerning heart, and if only he would be a trainer for new hires, what a wonderful world it would be. “A big thank you to Ms Aida with customer service. My husband and I came in at 7:50p (ten minutes before closing) Our home A/C went out, we purchased a portable A/C unit on Friday. It DID NOT work. We came to the Ocala store to exchange the unit. Ms Aida helped us with a smile and a happy heart. She even got someone to help us load the new unit into our vehicle. I can’t thank her enough. “Very good attention and service. Shout out to Gabby, she was amazing. Very helpful, stayed with us and guided us step by step. We went in for new IPad and phone and she helped us tremendously. We had a couple of issues with dead iPad and phone company, but she was patient, knowledgeable and friendly and assured us that everything was going to be fine.
