About Budget Car Rental
Budget Car Rental receives mixed reviews from customers. Many report positive experiences, praising the company for its good prices and fair value. Customers appreciate the efficient and fast service at the counter, with straightforward pick-up and return processes that are often quick and hassle-free. Several reviewers mention receiving nice vehicle upgrades, brand new cars, or clean vehicles with all options, and note that the staff can be accommodating to schedule changes.
However, consistent concerns are raised about vehicle maintenance and safety. Multiple customers across different cities report issues with low tire pressure, bald tires, low wiper fluid, and warning lights for safety systems or engine oil. These problems indicate that pre-rental safety checks may be insufficient. Additionally, some customers were surprised by unexpected fees on their final bill, such as a fuel charge even after returning the car full. While many recommend the service for its convenience and value, they emphasize the need for more diligent vehicle inspections between rentals.

Each time I use Budget when traveling they are always friendly and knowledgeable. Vehicles are decently clean. Always make sure you take before and after pictures when you pick up and drop off the car. They stay busy.
