“Dr. Larry and his team at Associates in Vet Medicine are simply the best! We are always treated with kindness and compassion, so much so many of our pets hardly mind going to the vet.My family has strictly seen Dr. Larry with our animals since I was just a child, now as an adult with my own pets he is still the only Vet I’ll see. My kitty children Alex and Dale are always in the best of care with them, and friends that I have referred to his practice agree - they receive much better care and service than the large commercial clinics in our area.I wish I could give 100 stars! Thank you Dr. Larry and your amazing team!”

“Dr Julie is always exceptional! I had the pleasure of having Cortnee as our technician and she was phenomenal. She even gave my dog head kisses as she is terrified of the vet and whines ALOT. My dog suffers from MANY allergies and I always feel heard when it comes to my senior dogs care. It really truly goes a long way. Thank you for taking such great care of my furbaby!”

“We had to put our 14 year old lab down last week. They let our whole family be with him in a very peaceful room. They were so sweet to us and him and gave us all the time we needed. Also have a cat and another Labrador that we trust in their care. Great vet.”

“Dr Iris and her staff genuinely care. She gave me advice over the phone before I even had an appointment. Then my first appointment was very thorough for my dog with advice and recommendations for everything from dog food to supplements. My previous vet gave me medication before even getting test results, and the medication would have made it worse if I had used them, so I appreciate throughness before giving something to my pet. Dr Iris clearly loves animals and my pup loved her.

When we had emergency issues with my little dog, she gave me advice over the phone even when she didn’t have an appointment slot. She has also emailed me just to check up on my little dog and new baby.

I love having someone who cares so much and who has holistic recommendations including an emergency kit for me to keep at home for urgent situations.

If you want a vet who cares and will try to get to the root of the problem, I highly recommend this practice and Dr Iris.”

“They saved our cat's life after another Vet almost killed him. I can't thank Dr. Courtney enough for her work and advice in treating our beloved cat Tango. about 19 months ago we seeked help for a 2nd opinion. We originally used a vet that was convenient and close to our home, but Tango developed Asthma in 2020. For a few years he got steroid depot shots, but in 2023 they became less effective and they switched him to an oral steroid.
Long story short, he was overdosed and developed severe diabetes that almost killed him. It was so bad that he almost couldn't walk anymore, got necropsy in this legs. They said we have to stop steroids - knowing that this would cause him coughing and having trouble breathing. With no idea or plan for some alternatives.
Fast forward - thanks to Dr. Courtney he is a happy cat today. Necropsy fully gone, and for 2 months now he is in remission and doesn't need insulin anymore. He was on Insulin for 18 Months. He is still on his Asthma medication, which is an inhaler and he takes it well. Dr. Courtney helped him in his worst shape, we thought we'd lose him. I'm incredibly thankful to have our Tango back, our fun, loving, cuddly, witty cat! He rules our home and is back to his happy himself.”

“East West is the most amazing and caring vet clinic I’ve been to. Our fur baby was brutally attacked and the doctor and staff were so attentive and worked closely with Blue Pearl to get him transferred to their clinic to perform surgery. The staff and doctor went out of their way to keep us posted and make sure our baby was well taken care of. The doctor was so kind to volunteer to monitor overnight. If you want a team that truly cared about your pet, don’t think twice. Thank you East West for everything you do!”

“Our large Labradoole mix has been going to Dr. Ewert at South Gate since we adopted her as a puppy. My husband & I adored this dog. Fortunately, she was healthy most of her life & saw her vet for routine check ups, heartworm prevention & shots. As she aged, she had arthritis, an occasional urinary tract infection or ear infecton. Each time we took her in for a problem, Dr. Ewert explained in detail the infection, how to avoid another, and gave directions for the medication we took home. Once, he drew a diagram of a dog's ear for me to completely understand her infection. He was always spot on with diagnosis & provided me with the Rx & treatment my dog needed. Sadly, last week, Dr. Ewert and his vet tech, Jessica, had to put down our 12 yr old beloved girl. She was beginning to suffer from cancers Dr. Ewert discovered several months ago and we couldn't treat. The kindness, compassion & support this vet and his assistant gave to my dog and me on one of the hardest days of my life, were incredible. I will be forever grateful. I never felt my dog & I were just another patient and owner. Dr. Ewert and Jessica treated us with loving care. South Gate is not just a business where these two special people earn a living. They are excellent in treating your pets, but also care. And they care a lot! Sande Carrington”

“I needed to board my dog Jack for the Memorial Day weekend and being new to the area I wasn't sure who I could trust. Where we used to live my dog's vet was with VCA so it was nice to see there was a VCA here in Cape Coral and they also had a pet resort. So for me, it was a win win situation. It was so easy to transfer Jack's records over here since both veterinarians are under VCA. Before boarding I took him in to get caught up on his vaccines and to establish a relationship with the new vet. Everyone there was so friendly, patient and professional. Boarding him here was a breeze they didn't require prescreening like some other boarding places in the area. They didn't require unnecessary vaccines, just the main ones. Baywood does one on one care with the animals so the dogs get the full attention of the technician, which I loved. When I dropped off Jack the boarding tech came to pick him up at the waiting room and asked me to leave him like you would a child on the first day of kindergarten. I thought it was funny but I totally understood. When I picked up Jack he was happy to see me and the boarding tech. told me how it did. I took him home and bathed him (my choice) and he passed out on the couch. Now Jack has only been boarded twice before this and both times they were not pleasant. Both times he was boarded was in Broward county on the east coast of Florida. One time he caught kennel cough (he was vaccinated) and the other time he came back hoarse and with a rash on his stomach. When I picked up Jack at Baywood he was peppy, he wasn't hoarse, didn't get any illnesses, nothing. If you don't mind not having all the perks of a pool, live webcams and group playtime then I would highly recommend this pet resort. The only thing I would have loved is to see the inside where they slept, to see how big it is. This will be our go to place for boarding Jack when he can't come with us.”

“Our first experience here today was everything we had hoped for. Dr was very thorough and took his time explaining. We never felt rushed. All of the girls in the office were very sweet as well. Our rescue boy has FIV, heartworm, bladder crystals and has been having issues with his heartworm again. We are so grateful we brought our boy here. We will now bring our other cat.”

“The best animal veterinarian in hospital ever. I went in today for a check up, told my concerns to Dr. Lutz and his assistant and they were so understanding there was no pressure. All of my dogs have allergic reactions to anesthesia and the rabies shots and they both agreed that I was very aware of what the incidents were pertaining to the allergic reactions and they agreed that in the future, we should just watch for the signs. Everyone here was so amazing Nick. The manager also is always friendly and efficient in the front desk is always efficient as well so thank you Chiquita Animal. You guys are the best I could give you 10 stars.”
