“Great location, walking distance to the beach. The rooms are renovated and clean, however parking is $5.00 which is reasonable, however was not disclosed at the time of reservation. Breakfast was acceptable, it is a mid range hotel and you will get just that. I called the front desk at 11:00 pm for a late check out the next day, no one answered however at midnight received a callback from the front desk? Completely weird and unacceptable, other than that it's a decent hotel in a great location.”

“Nearby activities: All the tours, historic sites, nightlife all within walking distance of your hotel room.

Walkability: Nothing beats this location. Everything is outside your door. Restaurants, stores, nightlife, tours, trolley, historic sites. Walk to everything.

Food & drinks: An eclectic array of restaurants. Although many were just okay. Lots of live entertainment, bars and wine tasting.”

“My husband and I celebrated my birthday at the Old City House Restaurant- could not have had a better experience! Food was prepared to perfection, chef catered to my dietary restrictions , and the wait staff were so eager to please - professional but very friendly! Relaxing atmosphere- would not hesitate to return! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing a more upscale dining experience!”

“How did we enjoy our stay? Let me count the ways: 1. Location-Only a 10-minute drive to the attractions of St. Augustine, short walk to sunset over the intracoastal and equally short walk to sunrise at the beach; Publix adjacent. 2. Property-Clean, quiet, modern, safe, attractive, comfortable; lots of vanity space & towels in the bathroom; outstanding breakfast, well stocked and with variety. 3. Service-Wow! Kitchen staff brings fruit around to the tables; front desk staff went out of their way to help my wife when her phone wouldn't connect to the internet (before finding out this was a widespread outage); Madison (front office mgr. and guest relations star) set the tone and took great care of us at check-in, check-out, and every day during our stay. Everyone at this hotel was terrific! Future hotel stays in other cities will seem lackluster after this.”

“First Class Experience!!!
Exceptional!!! Gina and Jessica at the front desk were welcoming, eager to help and professional. Belina and Angie that prepared and served our breakfast were so friendly and had a great attitude. Our room each day was cleaned to perfection by Iveta and Cecilia.
The view from our balcony was stunning. It was so convenient to walk into the historic district being located at the base of the Bridge of Lions.
We initially booked for 2 nights, but after a couple hours of arriving and seeing how clean our room and the hotel was and how helpful everyone was, we decided to stay an additional 2 nights. We also booked for 4 nights during Christmas.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding customer service !

“This was our first visit to St. Augustine and the location of the Collector Inn was ideal. It was centrally located in the heart of the city yet it was tranquil, peaceful and serene. My room was bright, clean, nicely appointed. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my requests for extra towels and a late check out.The bartender was friendly and insightful. She was very knowledgeable about local restaurants. We met quite a few nice people from out of town around the fire pit.I highly recommend this Oasis in the middle of Historic St. Augustine. I would definitely go back on my next visit.Walkability: The hotel is located within walking distance of major attractions.Noteworthy details: Every staff member from the bellman to the breakfast server, front desk, concierge were warm and friendly.”

“From the moment you check in, you are greeted by such friendly and professional staff! Jason is top notch and makes you feel right at home! He also makes a great martini! Caleb is extremely personable and helpful also! My family spent my birthday at Voco and the staff went out of their way to recognize my special day! Their breakfast is fabulous! Their rooms are so clean and comfy, and I love the pool area with all of the cozy seating. We will definitely be back! Such great service and perfect location!”

“Absolutely adorable bed and breakfast. It was our first experience at a b&b and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the happiness spa suite for one night. It was a simple room and just what we needed. Breakfast was delicious - Mango creme stuffed French toast with cheesy eggs and two sausage links. Very nice service and experience, would definitely come back! Walking distance to many cool sights and attractions.”

“Of all the hotels I’ve stayed in the front desk service at this one was the most thorough with the most clearly laid out details you’d want to know. The king bed was cozy and pillows extremely comfortable. Room was a great size and everything worked great. The oak trees outside are beautiful. A fair price of $95 for a great stay!”

“Well this isn’t a review but I put five stars anyway just because ??‍♂️. I have a question, how many square feet is the oversized king suite, not any other room… the oversized king suite in particular. Additionally, where are these rooms located in your building? I was thinking about booking for a free nights but I want a very nice room with a nice ocean view, no parking lot views.

UPDATE: 6/19/2024 I just booked again as we ended getting the oversized suite last year and loved it. I was on the phone with a young man I believe the name was “Jack” this evening and he literally had my room booked after I called him within 90 seconds. The website immediately showed my reservation and we are all set. I was impressed with his cordialness and swift handling of my booking .”

“Stay here! I am a big fan of the Best Western franchise and love the amenities offered. The staff was pleasant. The room was clean. So this motel is obviously a travel court that has been up-dated well. There was no laundry available. The rooms are small but comfortable.
There was no coffee prepared at night and only a grab-and-go breakfast in the lobby. I can understand the breakfast because there is no place to prepare it, but I was disappointed that there was no coffee after hours.
They do give vouchers for a modest breakfast at Mary’s Harbor View Cafe next door. This is an excellent little restaurant that has the charm of a locals place and a view of the bay across the street. If you choose not to use the voucher for the Best Western breakfasts, they still have a fantastic menu with a discount. The full order of biscuits and gravy was piled high on the plate and everything looked delicious.

All said, I would be glad to stay at the BW Historic Bayfront again. Because the location is across the street from the bay and the Castillo, and a block from the historic district shopping and restaurants, the location can’t be beat. Bring plenty of clothes and a big carafe of coffee.
Stay here!

Nearby activities: The National Monument, the sea wall is across the street. There are so many restaurants and unique shops just around the corner too.

Walkability: Lots of restaurants and specialty shopping a block away. Water views and it’s just across the street from the citadel makes this the best spot in town.

Noteworthy details: Water views and nostalgic vibe.”

“Rooms were great, service was wonderful but the parking is a pain in the a**. I don't think there's any way around the parking issue due to the lack of space. The fact that we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend was awesome though!”

“We will certainly be back! Very clean rooms with great lighting over the bathroom sink. Fantastic location. Friendly and helpful associates!

Nearby activities: Great for both couples and families, walkable to all the nightlife but tucked away where it’s quiet.

Walkability: Aside from a short Uber ride just over the bridge to the St. Augustine Amphitheater for a concert, we walked everywhere!

Food & drinks: 5-10 minute walk to amazing restaurants, bars, and coffee shops!”

“I had such a great stay at this hotel. It was really lovely inside, the bed was comfy and room was spacious. The bathroom lighting was a bit dim but aside from that everything was great and you can’t beat the location.”

“Everything about the hotel was wonderful! It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service from the staff! Dinner from the restaurant located at the hotel was delicious! We LOVED the hot tub and hanging out by the pool! We caught a beautiful sunset after dinner. It was nice to be so close to downtown. I can’t wait to go back!”

Walkability: Perfect location just steps away from everything that the downtown has to offer!”

“Quick getaway with hubby for our anniversary. Everything went well from check in to check out including breakfast and other amenities. No complaints ??. I would definitely recommend.”

“An older motel, but the price was very reasonable. The Location is perfect to see all the sites. The rooms were clean but they do not have maid service to make beds and change out towels during your stay. The room we stayed in had just been cleaned when we arrived and there was some kind of cleaning fluid dripped all over the floor with an overpowering chemical smell. We aired out the room for a few minutes which took care of that. If you don’t mind making your own bed and going after fresh towels everyday it’s a pretty great place to stay. I would stay there again.”

“Nicest Holiday Inn I have ever seen, great bar and breakfast area. Huge area outside with a large lit pool and hot tub (wasn't working as of January 11, 2024). We had a suite on the 6th floor, 619, with a view of the pool and lake that you see in the photo. We had two beds and a pull out couch bed. The room had a sort of kitchen setup with cabinets, no utensils, but a large refrigerator. The bathroom had a hydrotherapy bathtub shower combo that was great for my back. There are also a lot of places to hangout with chairs and even two gazebos.Food & drinks: Bar on site”

“My review will contain the good and the bad
The good : The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very nice location centrally located to restaurants and any tourist attractions
The hotel is going on a fully scale renovation so just be prepared to a few inconveniences The normal full breakfast service is unavailable. We were given a sack breakfast which included a couple of pastries along with a banana, apple juice and water. Coffee is still always available.
Now the bad
Whoever did the renovation in room 214 did a very sloppy job of it as well as whoever inspected the work The exhaust fan in the bathroom barely worked and you can see that it is full of dust The strip on the shower looks like a snake as it is no where near straight Foot prints and marks on baseboards along with a bad caulking job The walls were painted sloppy I’ve added pictures to show these faults in the room
Other then this a very enjoyable stay”

“I have the impression that the people at the reception are either underpaid or they are selected by competition. Who treats the client worse. I arrived with my husband, Mr. A. D, and they treated us poorly. We were there for work. The only kind person was the lady who was at the breakfast, admire her effort and kindness.

Rooms: The bed was comfortable!”
