“It’s intimidating when you first get involved in a new hobby, but the folks here were incredibly helpful and patient with my million questions. You can tell they just enjoy amateur radio, and that attitude is so helpful when a complete novice like me walks in the door needing lots of help.

This might be the only purpose-built ham radio store in Atlanta, but they don’t act like they have a monopoly on the market. They were just so welcoming and helpful the entire time”

“Great selection of yarns, knowledgable owners!
Maansi and Betty have a tremendous amount of experience to share! I first entered the store almost a year ago, wanting to learn how to knit. I taught myself to crochet, but I knew I needed a little more guidance for knitting. I started with lessons, slowly built my skills, and eventually worked up to my first sweater with classes! The selection of yarns is beautiful - many brands I have never seen elsewhere, and more that I had never even heard of. Budget friendly options are available, but it is hard to resist some delightfully soft, beautiful yarn when making a garment for myself. Lovely options and great, highly-experienced teachers if you're wanting to learn or expand your skills!”

“Great store! I come here every week to play Warhammer. The prices and selection are good. The staff is friendly and helpful if you ask for assistance but won't bother you if you just want to browse.”

“This was my first time visiting Northlake Stamp & Coin, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I went in looking for collecting supplies and walked out with exactly what I needed: a 2026 Red Book (Amazon's wait was a month out), three Dansco albums (which have become really hard to find lately), and a good supply of coin flips. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly—they took the time to answer my questions, show me different options, and even taught me about different chopmarks on Spanish Reales. Thanks for talking shop! It's clear they know their stuff and care about their customers. As a collector, it's nice to find a shop with good selection, fair prices, and excellent service. I'll definitely be back!”

“Staff is very nice and willing to help you with new stitches and ideas for your project. Stitch night is great. Food, laughter and needlepoint. Im new to needlepoint and a bit of an introvert. Everybody I met has been happy to show me their project and offer encouragement.”

“Larry Jackson's place is one of the most unique businesses I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Larry has probably forgotten more about coins than the average person will ever learn in the numismatic industry.”

“This store is not closed! It moved to a larger location three doors down in the same parking lot. This Michaels Store has the best employees! Especially the manager, Lisa and the cashier Abril! You will not find better customer service anywhere. The new location is huge and has more to offer: balloons, fabric, everything you would need from Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabrics, and (the dreaded) Hobby Lobby combined. It is clean, easy to navigate, and has excellent customer service.”

“It was a lovely experience to visit the stores. If you are person with creative passions, they have it all.
From beautiful yarns for all puroses, to paint colours, paint brushes, beads, sewing material, craft, and what not. I have been visiting Hobby Lobby for quite sometime now.
Michaels has an equally good collection waiting for you. They have a wider variety of threads too.
Only the prices are a bit pinchy. The discounts are on the second buy, although there is a seniors discount they offer.
A good store altogether.”
