“Went in the other day to get some ideas for a graduation present. Multiple employees asked if I needed help finding anything and also told me that if I needed help with anything to just ask them. After browsing the guns they have out on the floor, I wanted to view the ones behind the counter. After looking I found a gun that caught my eye. I asked for assistance and a gun salesman asked what I needed. I asked him if I could hold and look at the particular gun that caught my interest. I asked a few questions about it and the salesman was very informative and knew what he was talking about. He also gave me information about others guns I wanted to look at and shared a story of a customer he had a few weeks ago and had good reviews about one of the guns I was looking at. I didn’t catch his name but if you are new into gun collecting or shooting and looking for a place to get new gear, I highly recommend chucks. Great customer service and friendly staff.”

“6/1/24 went there to be fitted for a good walking shoe. Hope was so nice and kind, she could have sold me the WHOLE store. The try on socks, bought a pack of those too(thick padding). She brought out 4 pairs; Saucony, 2 Brooks(20&21)and a new balance. Brooks felt great especially the 21, but Saucony won my feet. I will definitely buy there again. Even got my friend a pair for Father’s Day. Also, they sell Oofos slides. I was told not to try them on, went to the Macon store to pick up the Hoka pair and tried the slide. I had to get them??♀️. Left there broke n happy. Thanks Bonaire and Macon store, y’all were awesome.”
“They have a good selection, and a great gun dept. Bob at the firearms counter is a family friend and has been hunting and into firearms all his life and probably has more knowledge than the other gun shops in town. The only problem with Academy is the ridiculous checkout line. Its always a long wait and they refuse to work more than 2 cashiers at a time and the ones that are there are always slow.”
“I was coming in to pickup shoes & had a great experience. There were 2 employees & 1 other customer that walked in before me. Both employees were very attentive. The young man that helped me also suggested a shirt to match (great upsell). I’ll definitely shop here more.”
