“We got a special gift coupon from our visit to Isaac’s Sandlot to come get a book from Wild Aster Books. I was really wanting to go to a bookstore this weekend and felt the opportunity to come here serendipitously fell into my lap. The vibes were so eclectic and mystical with a wide selection of books, even children’s books (which is what we were looking for). My son grabbed two little golden books but I could’ve stayed to look through all the beautiful children’s books much much longer. They had classics and newer options to appeal to beloved characters. They also appeared to have a small toy selection, beautiful stationary and art projects, as well as artisanal gifts. I will be coming back when I make my way back to Chamblee for our next adventure.”
“I found treasures galore in this magical den. I was also fortunate enough to meet Her Majesty, Mickey the cat. Looking forward to returning for my next adventure.”
“I love how active this book store is with getting authors in! It’s always a wonderful experience. Getting my books is great. I love being able to support a local book store. I’ll keep going here as often as I can!”
“This was a great experience and wonderful shop but the main reason for the 4 stars was the lack of inventory. I would have really enjoyed to purchase essential oils or books but mainly had testers and limited books. I will definitely come back but hope to see more inventory.”
“I had the best experience today! I came to purchase a bible for my best friend and Wanda helped me find the best bible version based on my experience and preferences. She was such a joy and her customer service made this special 🩷”
“My favourite bookstore! They consistently have interesting books in both their used and new sections, and the staff are all super friendly. I’ve sold my books here a couple times and found the process to be very easy.”
“I absolutely love Charis!! Their passion for books and community truly shines through & it’s the kind of place where you feel welcome just for being there.
I was most recently looking for a book that they didn't have in stock but they were able to order it for me and it got there in less than a week! The order and pickup process was seamless. They took care of everything & kept me updated along the way.
I've also had the pleasure of working with their team in a professional manner and they have been nothing but amazing. I can truly see how much they care for their community with each interaction.
Whether you’re browsing for a great read, picking up a special order, or just looking for a welcoming community space, Charis is truly exceptional & I highly recommend!!”
“I've been to this location in Decatur many times. A lovely place to buy from, with a good selection and good prices, but - and this is a biggie, I woud never bring in books are items to sell to them. What the store offers you for your items is laughable. I feel so sorry for people at the sell counter who bring in boxes of items, only to be offered ten cents or a dollar, knowing that the store is going to turn right around and sell those same items at Ebay / collector prices. Always buy from them, never sell to them.”
“Brave and Kind Books is such a special place. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the care and intention behind everything in the store. The book selection is amazing, thoughtfully curated and full of incredible stories that highlight so many Black and Brown authors. I especially love that it goes beyond just children’s books; there’s something meaningful here for readers of all ages. It’s the kind of bookstore that makes you want to stay awhile to peer through every shelf and keep coming back. Highly recommend supporting this gem!”
“Sarah was so wonderful and friendly helped me find exactly what I was looking for plus more !!! So excited to shop a small business that cares for the customers on such a friendly level!! Will be back next time we are in town and hope to see Sarah too”
“One of my favorite indie bookshops in ATL. The staff is amazingly kind and friendly, there's an amazing selection, and they host fun author events. Plus, there's coffee!”
“Every time I go to this location, I’m impressed. Weather I’m buying 1 or 10 things, my experience has always been super positive, very efficient, prompt and amazingly friendly. Christopher is such a joy, always welcoming, warm, gives great suggestions & my favorite part of going to this location.”
“I am so sorry for the owners of this bookstore and hope they can be back in business soon. The quality and selection of books they used to sell was terrific. My kids and I could always find something.”
“Best place around to pass a sunday afternoon ! Cozy atmosphere and wonderful selection of books and gifts. Particularly recommended the childrens’ books and gifts section ?”
“Barnes & Noble is my favorite bookstore for my niece and me. We often come here on our days off. The bookstore offers a wide variety of books in many different categories. Everything is neatly organized by topic, making it convenient to browse and shop.
The children’s book section is beautifully decorated and very attractive for kids. The bookstore also has many shelves displaying fun and interesting toys for children. My niece really loves this area.
One special thing about this bookstore is the café and pastry section, which is a perfect place to relax and read the books you just bought.”
“I come to this store regularly, and today I was genuinely surprised. For the first time, I was truly impressed by the kindness of an employee.
Normally, especially at this Half Price Books location, the employees tend to be expressionless and interact with customers like robots, using memorized phrases without much warmth or personality. They are not rude, but they often seem disconnected and mechanical.
Today, however, there was a young employee named Kyle at the register, and I was genuinely impressed by his politeness, friendliness, and positive attitude.
Thank you, Kyle. I hope other employees will take inspiration from you and treat customers with the same level of enthusiasm and care, rather than acting as if they are being forced to be there. This 5 star only for Kyle not the others.”
“Just the smell alone coming through the door took me back to another place. Absolutely love this store. Had everything I wanted. Friendly staff and great selections.”
“It's a religious book store, but it has a small market as well, Which by the way has a variety of healthy products. That is why you might just want to check it out.”
“TRINKET LOVERS; THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU!
Amazing selection of keychains, blind boxes, stickers, magnets, bags, and stuffed animals. They have a bunch of series of Smiskis, two types of calico critters, Sonny angels (NOT the hipper version), lots of Miffy, etc.
As for the Jellycats, they had a few small ones, but the entire back wall (stuffed animal section) was not Jellycat. Still cute stuffed animals but totally thought they were Jellycats when I looked into the store which is why I came in.
I totally loved it in here!! The prices are not awful for REAL collectibles as well. I mean, they aren’t great in the grand scheme of things when you remember you’re paying $14 for a plastic toy😅, BUT cheaper than some places i’ve been to before.”
“Tons of books, a bit disheveled though…maybe after a few visits I would feel more comfortable but unfortunately I was only visiting. If you are a paperback fan there is a pretty massive selection (much better than the hardback for fiction anyway)”

“I have been blessed by LOMM in various significant ways: • gaining a better understanding of the importance of Passover in the life and ministry of Jesus through Murray Tilles's Jesus in the Passover presentation. • having the Bible come to life in a new way through Murray, Alana, and Anna Beth's insights into the places of the biblical events through the LOMM tour of Israel. • capturing a fresh vision for reaching people with the Gospel, especially the Jewish people through Murray's example and teaching ministry. • the staff of LOMM have enhanced my pastoral ministry and blessed Midway Community Church immensely!”
“I love the Spartan Store. It’s incredibly well done, and it’s amazing to me that this is on a school campus. They have a huge selection of Jellycat, eNewton and other great brands, as well as fun logo apparel. It’s a treasure’”

“I’ve been going to bookstores in and around Atlanta this summer.
This bookshop is 5 minutes from where I work so once I realized it was here, I stopped in. This is a small-medium shop with a fantastic selection of books. It’s got that wonderful warm bookstore feel and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
They have a great children’s section and even let their young readers put up their own recommendations. I was pleased to see not only books I read in school 15 years ago (the Giver) but also current series (Keepers of the Lost Cities).
For one of the series in the adult section, they had a reading order list up, which I thought was very helpful. They also have a couple of rotating displays upfront near the check out counter. They had their Father’s Day display up as well as a cat themed one.
Additionally, they have a nice selection of other items such as stickers, puzzles, and bookish items.
I will definitely be stopping in again after work.”
“Absolutely loved my experience at the Emory Book Store! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming me with a smile and offering help the moment I walked in. I went there to pick up faculty regalia at the last minute, and they were extremely helpful and understanding about the situation. They made the process quick and stress-free, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The store also has a great selection of books, school supplies, and Emory gear—it’s the perfect spot for students, faculty, and visitors alike. It’s clear they care about creating a great experience for everyone who walks through the door. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re on or near campus!”
“This place with such a vibe!!!! Truly a lovely third space to meet beautiful (outward and inward) and informed Black people. I find ppl congregate here on a common front for true equality and forward thinking consciousness/ change. I overheard and got invited to many beautiful conversations here and hung out here for quite some time!! The shop is placed in a historic part of Atlanta and it really ties in well with the surrounding areas. It’s honestly my favorite bookstore in the city that I had the pleasure of going to for my first time in Atlanta, and I’ll never forget the experience. I had the pleasure of also meeting the owner. She was the sweetest person I could ever meet, as well as her friends! They really welcomed me with open arms, so much free knowledge to partake on the center table, as well as rare books and media that are fair priced. I got a shirt and tote bag too!!”
“I attend the Atlanta Campus, but went to the Perimeter bookstore location to purchase all of my online books. I cannot begin to explain to whomever reads this how amazing, patient and kind Liz, who works at the bookstore, is. She spent so much time helping me navigate the ins and outs of using my benefits to purchase my school books. She truly cares about the success of each and every individual that walks through the doors of the bookstore. 20/10 would recommend everyone stop by, even if it's just for a snack and to see Liz!”
“This is THE place for Georgia Tech merch. Our son was recently accepted to Tech and we went here to celebrate by getting gear for our family. The selection here is extensive and while the prices aren't any great deal, they're on par with most other merchants. We had a positive experience with their service when we realized after getting our items home and noticing that we were double charged for an item and when my wife notified them, the associate, Hope credited back the overcharge.”
“I went to this college for my sister and the sweatshirt I got was very nice. This store also has a variety of clothes to choose from, snacks, school supplies, cups, stickers, parent t-shirts, baby clothes, jewelry, soda, etc... A wonderful store”
“When in to purchase a bible and struck up a conversation with an older gentleman, I wish I had gotten his name so I can mention him. He was very kind and offended me to go to the chapel and pray. Best decision I made in a long time. Very quiet and I felt the presence of the Lord.”
“This is a beautiful Chinese bookstore. The lady inside was kind and jovial with my questions as I am trying to get back into learning Chinese. She said they had low stock right now so I'll be back soon to check out the new shipments!”
