“This hotel is one of the best! Our room was the cleanest we've ever had. That includes more expensive hotels too! The bathroom was immaculate!!!! Kudos to the cleaning staff! The young lady who checked us in and the lady who checked us out were very nice. Breakfast wasn't bad. Maybe needs a few more tables but it worked. We will stay here again if we pass through the area.”

“The only issue we had is you couldn't pay cash and they put a hold on your card so it's like you pay double the money and then you get your money back after you leave but you have to wait 10 business days and not everybody has that much money and we're rolling on a budget because we had to be at the hospital. So now we're still paying for it waiting on our 10 days to be up to get the money back. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“It may not have as many of the same extras you look for in a Marriott property. The rooms are fairly small and basic. That being said, the architecture of the building is unique and I personally got really excited just driving up to the entrance. You will definitely not be let down by the M Club. I have been running into several being renovation, limited hours, not open on weekends, sub par food and snacks. This one was nice. Even though they did not have a weekend breakfast and snacks option in the M Club the onsite restaurant Houlihan’s is amazingly. Again, really enjoyed the atmosphere and architecture. Also, happened to find my new favorite beer, Red Jacket. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did.”

“I travel 80 nights a year & this is where I stay when in Columbus, GA. It's not new but the price is reasonable, rooms are spacious & clean, people are genuinely nice, and plenty of dining & shopping within a mile. I once stayed at a similar property nearby and it was rough.”
“Menus at the downstairs restaurant (named Denim & Oak) have been revised recently! There is a one man kitchen, where the chef is devoted to tasty food in a timely manner. Seating is always available downstairs, though a reservation is preferred for parties of 4 or more. Upstairs at the rooftop bar (named 1885), the cityscape viewpoint is unlike anything else in Columbus. There's a perfect skyline of the river and architecture from the Historic District of downtown Columbus. But beware! If the weather is unruly, they will be closed! So call ahead to find your perfect nighttime meal & adventure.”

“I cannot say enough about the customer service and excellence (attentiveness, cleanliness, and culture) of Staybridge Suites here on Whittlesey Rd in Columbus. Moving to a new hometown can feel overwhelming. Having to navigate a transitional period of a month in an extended stay adds a whole new layer to that process. The helpfulness of the team, from the front desk and meal teams, to housekeeping and management -- all wonderful. Amina (spelling?) in particular, is a breath of fresh air! We feel incredibly thankful for the warm welcome and commitment to making this stay enjoyable.”

“Every single person who worked at this hotel was unbelievably friendly and hospitable. The staff was absolutely amazing. The hotel is in need of renovations but I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff was. From the front desk staff to the lady working the breakfast to the individuals cleaning… they all went above and beyond.”

Excellent Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Great Service
I had a wonderful stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton. The room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. I especially appreciated the kitchenette and the overall layout—it truly felt like a home away from home.
The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming from check-in to check-out. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to get around, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Everything from the service to the cleanliness exceeded my expectations.
Ms. T, the manager, is extremely professional and truly a people person. She made sure everything ran smoothly and made guests feel welcomed and valued. The rest of the staff was also friendly and attentive.
The hotel is in a great location, quiet, and convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both business and family travel and would gladly stay here again.”
“The room was nice. Sleeper sofa was dated but worked. The light over the bathroom sink was dim. It needs to be changed to an LED and a fixture that lights the area better. There was two remotes for the TV. One for turning it on and the second one for getting to the channels. There should only be one remote for the TV.
The breakfast variety was best that I have seen in a long time. Choice of biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs, sausage as well as cereals, yogurt etc.”

“I had an excellent stay at Candlewood Suites in Columbus, Georgia! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a full kitchen setup that made longer stays so convenient.
The hotel itself is quiet, safe, and well-maintained, with great amenities like the lending locker, fitness center, and laundry facilities that are a huge plus. The location is also perfect—close to shopping, restaurants, and Fort Benning, but still tucked away enough to be peaceful.
What really stood out was the atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Everyone on staff—from the front desk to housekeeping—was kind, attentive, and truly cared about guests having the best experience possible.
If you’re in Columbus for business, visiting family, or here for Fort Benning, I highly recommend staying here. Candlewood Suites has definitely earned my 5 stars!”

“Recently stayed here as just a birthday get away for one night. I work a lot and just needed a little break from reality. Let me just say, We absolutely loved it. The place is very very clean everywhere not just in the rooms and the staff is so nice and friendly. They are always willing to help you. The housekeeper here definitely does a wonderful job. I used to be a housekeeper myself for resorts so I know exactly what to expect. She/he is perfect and does their job very well. The beds are clean and comfy. The air conditioner in the rooms work very well. I also love that they have a huge variety of things for breakfast including coffee, juice, waffles, eggs, sausage, grits, yogurt, bagels, mini cinnamon rolls, toast, and cereal. It definitely exceeded my expectations. They also have a mini fitness center and two patios outside for people who smoke, want to grill, or just enjoy sitting outside. It’s very cute and inviting. During our stay the pool was temporarily closed though which I was kind of sad about. Also The only problem I had was there wasn’t any hot water in the shower. Which is a big deal to me as I take super hot showers. It was my fault that I did not check the hot water when we checked in as I’m sure they would have moved me to a different room if necessary. I did talk to them at the front desk about it when we checked out. She stated that side of the hall we were on does have trouble with hot water. Still I wasn’t mad. It just seems that they are in need of a good maintenance man to help with a lot of problems that the other staff can not take care of. Overall if the hot water was fixed this place would be a perfect hotel for anyone. I still recommend it and I’m willing to give it another try at a later date as everything was great overall. Just a tip though when checking in make sure your hot water works. Thanks for the great much needed get away.

Safety: Front desk is there 24/7 and they really do pay attention and greet everyone who walks through the doors. It definitely keeps unwanted people who are not staying at the hotel out and welcomes guests only.
Walkability: There’s many different places near by that you could definitely walk to if you chose to. They even gave us a 10% off Texas road house coupon upon checking in.
Food & drinks: Breakfast was exceptional.
Noteworthy details: Our housekeeper did an amazing job and the place is very inviting.”

“Our stay at the Columbus, GA Homewood Suites was truly memorable, thanks largely to the incredible staff. While the guest rooms are a bit dated, it does appear the hotel is actively renovating from the ground floor up. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, and the pool and fire pit area are cozy, clean, and very well maintained.
The manager’s reception on Wednesday night was especially welcoming—it truly felt like being with family. Due to an unexpected delivery issue, the breakfast offering was fairly sparse, but that small inconvenience was completely overshadowed by the exceptional service.
By far, the most outstanding part of our stay was the hotel manager and her entire team. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and genuinely welcomed. Their kindness, professionalism, and warmth made all the difference.
Even as we left, one of the cleaning staff came out to the car to wish us safe travels ? Thank you to the entire Homewood Suites team for making our stay so special—we truly felt at home!”
