“I am so thankful for Celeste at the bakery! I had an urgent last-minute gender reveal request in two cupcakes and she was so helpful and efficient within 10 minutes, provided me with the cupcakes filled with my baby's gender, and she even let me give her the biggest hug! I appreciate her hospitality and friendliness and her well wishes on my baby!”

“I my husband and I go in there all the time, so this is over many visits. I am sure I will mess the spelling up, but Senia is always SO sweet and I see her helping people load things from the other cart as well. She is always positive and seems happy even though I am sure she is not all the time, but you could not tell. Their whole staff is friendly as well! Great customer service!”

“What keeps this Publix apart from others is truly the staff. I’m a frequent flyer here, and usually stop in for subs and salads. Tonight I stopped in after work and was greeted and helped by Maggie who was such a ray of sunshine in making my sub and salad. Belinda and shuheb I also want to mention as I’ve dealt with them on numerous occasions and they’re always so pleasant and helpful. These three truly have such great personalities. I manage people myself, and these are the kind of people we would love to manage. They’re kind, respectful, helpful and offer a smile everytime. Sometimes that’s just what someone needs after a rough day. So thank you, Maggie, Belinda and shuheb! Keep up the good work!”

“Great place to get your Caribbean food items. The owners are awesome and the chef is incredible. They have the best hot cooked Jamaican food Thursdays to Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Best oxtail, curry goat, cow foot, fish and curry chicken. And you can get your own frozen meats and do it yourself. Great market, ample parking, pop in and out with your favorite things!”

“I have lived in Dacula for 24 years. Golden Pantry has always been there for fuel, emergency meds late at night, quick candy runs for the family. We love our Golden Pantry. It's like an old friend. Beats all the corp BS stores hands down.”

“Hi! I literally go to this Kroger every once and a while because I'm not a Kroger person, but I go mainly for the service there. AMAZING times to go is from 4-11, where there's a bunch of the best youth workers. I went to visit Leslie today, and she got super excited because she hasn't seen me in a while, and it was so nice talking to her, and as well looking at the co-workers, they give you small but happy smiles that makes you want to keep shopping there. I personally like Leslie & how she does her job because she's outgoing and is ALWAYS there to have a conversation, without any language barriers. Spanish or English, she DOES NOT fail to make anyone laugh & she has her limits too, making sure nobody feels offended. I cannot wait to come back again to see Leslie, and she made my day 100x better. Thank you Kroger & Thank you Leslie.”

“5 Star Review, Publix Distribution Center, Dacula, GA

First Visit, Monday April 13, 2026
Appointment 8:30 AM, Arrival 6:00 AM, Door Call 6:30 AM, Finished 10:30 AM

Second Visit, May 24, 2026
Appointment 8:40 AM, Arrival 4:09 AM

What an awesome place to deliver to. After realizing I had actually been here before, this Publix DC easily stays on my list as one of the top facilities for a smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant experience.

During my first visit back in April, I had a little confusion coming in. I followed the signs toward the second gate for check in but got briefly sidetracked after seeing another driver roll through an open gate. As I started following, Larry from security flagged me down quick. We both laughed when he told me if I went any farther he would have had to call it in as a gate run. Honestly, that interaction set the tone right away. Professional, respectful, but still human. I wish more facilities operated like that.

Check in process is straightforward. If you are not a Publix driver, stay all the way to the far right entering the property. They will raise the first gate arm for you. At the second guard shack you park, bring your ID and paperwork inside, and security gives you clear instructions along with your gate pass and staging area.

On my first visit I was directed to the frozen section and told to stage until closer to my appointment. Before I could even fully settle in, Erica from receiving called me around 6:30 AM and assigned me a door early, which was a huge plus.

Second visit was just as smooth. One important thing drivers should know, there is really no reason to arrive super early. They only allow you in roughly 30 minutes before your appointment. I arrived about 45 minutes early and still made it in, but anything earlier than that and they may turn you away.

Once assigned a door, the process is easy. Back in, then bring your paperwork inside. Also important, drivers must check in at the kiosk before going to the receiving window.

Unloading process both times was organized and efficient. On the way out you stop at the final guard shack, same as the entry gate, and turn in your top sheet. Very simple setup.

Big shoutout to Larry from security and Erica from receiving for making the experience stand out. Also want to mention one of the yard jockeys who was friendly enough to let me borrow wire cutters for my seal. Small things like that go a long way out here on the road.

Only stressful moment during my second visit had nothing to do with the facility. My truck decided to act up while backing into the dock and started idling high in reverse like it was giving itself gas, definitely made backing more exciting than it needed to be.

Overall though, this place runs extremely well. Clean process, professional people, organized yard, and good communication from start to finish. The Publix DC in Orlando is still my personal favorite because they let drivers park almost a full day early and will wake you up for your appointment, but Dacula is absolutely one of the better distribution centers out here.

Honestly, if every facility operated like this, trucking would be a whole lot easier.

5 out of 5, outstanding experience all around.”
