“I used to come to this location all the time because it was convenient and close to everything. But, I stopped coming for a while because of the previous store manager. She often seemed uninterested in addressing customers concerns and treated employees poorly.

One time , I saw her yelling at the assistant manager over something that was clearly out of his control. It was extremely unprofessional to do that in front of customers and other employees. Honestly, it was so uncomfortable, I just left.

Recently, I decided to come by and was happy to see that the former assistant manager had become the new store manager. Not only is the store is cleaner, the environment is more welcoming, and he went above and beyond to help me resolve an issue with a pump. He was patient, never made me feel rushed, and stayed until everything was taken care of.

With this new management, I’m happy to be a regular customer again. It’s amazing how much of a difference good leadership can make. I'm still surprised how the last manager wasnt fired sooner.”

“Hannah at customer service is beautiful and so kind. I needed help reviewing my receipt and trying to do a return. Since I'm older it's harder for me to do things on my own. Hannah was incredibly patient and sweet. She is the most helpful employee I have ever met at this location and I've been coming here for over 20 years. She is meant for bigger things and the lady before me was rude as ever and was cussing at the employees for no reason over a refund. Hannah handled it perfectly and although the lady was extremely rude she has great discipline and amazing customer service. That girl deserves a promotion!”

“5 Star Review, Publix Distribution Center, Dacula, GA

First Visit, Monday April 13, 2026
Appointment 8:30 AM, Arrival 6:00 AM, Door Call 6:30 AM, Finished 10:30 AM

Second Visit, May 24, 2026
Appointment 8:40 AM, Arrival 4:09 AM

What an awesome place to deliver to. After realizing I had actually been here before, this Publix DC easily stays on my list as one of the top facilities for a smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant experience.

During my first visit back in April, I had a little confusion coming in. I followed the signs toward the second gate for check in but got briefly sidetracked after seeing another driver roll through an open gate. As I started following, Larry from security flagged me down quick. We both laughed when he told me if I went any farther he would have had to call it in as a gate run. Honestly, that interaction set the tone right away. Professional, respectful, but still human. I wish more facilities operated like that.

Check in process is straightforward. If you are not a Publix driver, stay all the way to the far right entering the property. They will raise the first gate arm for you. At the second guard shack you park, bring your ID and paperwork inside, and security gives you clear instructions along with your gate pass and staging area.

On my first visit I was directed to the frozen section and told to stage until closer to my appointment. Before I could even fully settle in, Erica from receiving called me around 6:30 AM and assigned me a door early, which was a huge plus.

Second visit was just as smooth. One important thing drivers should know, there is really no reason to arrive super early. They only allow you in roughly 30 minutes before your appointment. I arrived about 45 minutes early and still made it in, but anything earlier than that and they may turn you away.

Once assigned a door, the process is easy. Back in, then bring your paperwork inside. Also important, drivers must check in at the kiosk before going to the receiving window.

Unloading process both times was organized and efficient. On the way out you stop at the final guard shack, same as the entry gate, and turn in your top sheet. Very simple setup.

Big shoutout to Larry from security and Erica from receiving for making the experience stand out. Also want to mention one of the yard jockeys who was friendly enough to let me borrow wire cutters for my seal. Small things like that go a long way out here on the road.

Only stressful moment during my second visit had nothing to do with the facility. My truck decided to act up while backing into the dock and started idling high in reverse like it was giving itself gas, definitely made backing more exciting than it needed to be.

Overall though, this place runs extremely well. Clean process, professional people, organized yard, and good communication from start to finish. The Publix DC in Orlando is still my personal favorite because they let drivers park almost a full day early and will wake you up for your appointment, but Dacula is absolutely one of the better distribution centers out here.

Honestly, if every facility operated like this, trucking would be a whole lot easier.

5 out of 5, outstanding experience all around.”
