Das Ice Cream Cafe
705 Brucken Strasse Suite 108-A, HelenStopped in today to try a flight of ice DREAM! Four flavors, all spectacular, presentation on point, and Vegas (didn’t catch her name, you’ll know her though) was as spicy as the Hot Lava ice cream—my fav. What a delightful place, even had an SRV pic on the shelf! Best ice cream we’ve had in … ever! We even got a malted milkshake and coffee float to go. ? #livingitupinhelenga.

Bangkok Haus Restaurant Helen
707 Edelweiss Strasse, HelenMy husband is Thai and we were craving sth familiar in Helen. So we gave this place a try and it satisfies the cravings. Pad thai and pad kee mao have good flavors and sushi was pretty decent. The cheery on top was our server. Pat was so attentive and cared for all of our needs making sure we were taken care of. He went above and beyond and was extremely nice, which makes the whole experience so much better! If you’re in town and wanna give this place a try, I highly recommend.

Brickhouse Burgers, Pizza & Pasta
8759 N Main St, HelenThis is the best restaurant in Helen and it ain't even close. I have lived here for 8 years. I have never gotten anything from here that wasn't absolutely delicious and they've never once gotten anything single thing wrong with my order. Adam, Parker, David, Gerry and Matthew all perform their roles and duties flawlessly. My only complaint is that they're not open 24 hrs. It is that good. They're in one of the original Sears Roebuck houses in Helen so the atmosphere is quaint and historic. Parking is sparse but after the amount of food you get for your meal, you'll benefit from a walk back to the car. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Hofbrauhaus Restaurant
9001 N Main St, HelenOverall, we had a good experience. The restaurant had a cool look. The potato pancakes were good- crispy on the outside. They had a hint of flavor, but needed more. It was great with the apple sauce. The pretzel was fluffy and soft with very delicious cheese! It was so cheesy and had a distinct taste. I think in general our problem was the good was bland. My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was good- the flavor coming from the burnt parts. I got the beef roast- it was good, but it was slathered in gravy. The carrots and potatoes needed seasoning. My son got the chicken schnitzel. It was soggy. The mashy potatoes had a good texture, but needed seasoning. The spaetzle was also soggy- maybe that's how they are supposed to be? I don't know much about German food, but maybe this is how it's supposed to taste?? We went back a second time and sat in a different room- there were no TVs and the lights were super bright so we got out food to go. The pretzel was just as good. The french onion soup was okay- probably better there. The mozzarella was not was stretchy/stringy as I remember. It also might not have been mozzarella- not sure. We also had a piece of German chocolate cake. It was good. The cake was moist and the cream was thick with coconut and nuts!

Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria
7275 S Main St, HelenFound a great regular pizza and also gluten free pizza here. Brittany did a good job but service was a little slow. Was disappointed to see the bartender taking shots behind the bar, very unprofessional. But Brittany was the best server there for sure. Will be back for the great pizza!

Muller's Famous Fried Cheese Cafe
60 Chattahoochee Strasse, HelenFirst let me tell you that 99% of Helen, GA is NOT pet friendly. So if you go there thinking it is - it isnt.\n\nWe had a tiny little dog with us and we go turned away from MOST store and restaurants! I was NOT NICE! Even restaurants that had outdoor seating turned us away. \n\nHaving said that - Muller's didnt and they had an outside deck that was dreamy! We got there and the back patio was covered, with the sheeting keeping the wind out, and the warmers were already running - so it was warm, not hot, and ready for us! \n\nThe waitress/hostess was so sweet, happy and friendly. In fact, all the staff was. I said to my friend, every waitress in here has a bounce in her step and she is HAPPY this must be a great place to work!\n\nThe food - COME ON! PERFECT! SOOOOOOOOOOO Good. We left there so stuffed we had to walk a couple miles to feel better! \n\nI wouldnt have changed a thing! I wish we would have eaten here ever night of our trip! So, FIND THEM SOONER if you go to Helen, GA!

Bodensee
64 Munich Strasse, HelenAn excellent meal. We share several appetizers--all excellent but be sure to order the brie with veggies. We didn't expect it to be an entire wheel of brie and could easily have made it a shared main course. \nTight seating but that's unsurprising. The parking lot is a bit hard to find--it's a gravel lot behind the place and doesn't look like a parking lot..\nLots of traditional German food. Try the gluwine!

King Ludwig Biergarten
8660 N Main St, HelenGood location at the heart of popular Helen strip.
Family friendly atmosphere.
The restaurant itself did not open until 12pm for lunch, and didn't even start serving food until 12:30pm, which was inconvenient for everyone waiting in line so long. Otherwise, good place to stop and relax for a bit.

Chattahoochee Dog Haus
8016 S Main St #3620, HelenI would eat here again but might get something different. Decent hot dogs - personally the buns were thicker than I prefer. The “cheese” in the dog-dog was what seemed like cheese whiz in consistency and taste.

Old Bavaria Inn Restaurant
8619 N Main St, HelenVery authentic type of Bavarian in. You must be able to do a few steps as there’s only a few table tables on the first level then you have to take five steps up to the main level and then go upstairs to the top. We ate at the top and it was very nice but cold as it was 35° outside when we ate lunch. We had the Wurst sausage plate and it was enough for two people. It was $25.95. Our waitress was Brittany and she was fabulous. A great place to see heading back in the back of a little section of stores in a small nice alley.
