3493 US-76, HiawasseeWe dropped in at The Oak on Friday night during happy hour. The atmosphere was beautiful, warm and inviting. Drinks, appetizers and dessert was delicious. What really won us over was the friendly staff. We loved it so much that we went back for Saturday brunch. Once again the food and service were amazing. Diana was a special treat, going above and beyond to add special touches to our experience.

Hawg Wild BBQ & Catfish House of Hiawassee
625 US-76, HiawasseePretty good Barbeque. The pulled pork was cooked just right with a good mix of inside meat and outside bark. The sides were good but really small in portion. We were promised hush puppies brought to the table complimentary, but the waiter finally admitted they were not coming out due to full fryers. Disappointed at first, but after seeing them on someone else's catfish plate, they appeared burnt or over-cooked at best, so it's probably for the better that we didn't get a basket of them after all. Good views of Lake Chatuge made the experience worth the visit along with the good food. Trivia night was going on as well, so that was interesting answering questions (or trying to) while chowing down on good pork!

715 N Main St, HiawasseeI will definitely be back! The food is delicious and the service was top notch. Our server Tracie was so attentive and friendly, she made the whole experience wonderful. I had the gyro and feta omelette with added spinach, it was PERFECT. The tomatoes were a great side, paired well with the omelette. And those biscuits... Oh my Lord... I live almost five hours away and I would drive back up here for the biscuits alone. Highly recommend!
