“This won't be news to anyone who's been there but this place is a total gem.
I have rented a bike here and bought a hat here on two separate trips to SSI over the years. The people are super friendly and welcoming and the prices are totally reasonable and normal and not tourist-gouging like what happened so often in beach towns sorry to say.
Also just a note on what kind of shop this is: this is a cool surf shop with respected brands, a good selection, and people who know their store and provide professional service. THIS IS NOT one of the many crappy gift shops with the same trinkets and junk that you find all over St Simons.

“The only place in town that I shop in person (as opposed to online shopping). Always a great deal (especially Black Friday, I just got $970 worth of clothes for $185), and great service. Stop in on first Fridays for a free margarita and shop their great selection of clothing, accessories, and gifts. Also THE BEST place to rent a tux!”

“I’m not a local, but every time I visit St. Simons, a trip to Mixed Nuts is a must! We don’t have anything like it where I’m from, and I always end up leaving with more than I intended to buy. Their selection of clothing and accessories is amazing, and there’s truly something for every occasion. The store is always full of unique finds, and it’s one of my favorite places to shop when I’m in town. I can see how some would take offense, but I’d rather have someone be kindly direct than have me walk out looking a hot mess. The clothes range from boho to Jackie O and encompass everything in between. This is a small business owned by a hard working woman who does every job imaginable in the shop. I enjoy her so much, I never miss a visit when I’m in Saint Simons!”
